got home from work to find our water was shut off. we have not missed a payment. we called the emergency line and left 3 messages over a couple of hours with no response. we also submitted a service interruption report online with no response. finally got ahold of a human the next day and was told that my husband had called on 8/2 to canceled service “because we sold our house”. I told them this was not correct, that we are not moving- our house isn’t even on the market. They continue to tell me that my husband called to cancel and that his identity was confirmed with the last 4 of his social. I have my husband call and he again tells them that he did not call and that we are not moving. they would not tell him the phone number or the last 4 of the social that called to cancel service, only that it was supposedly him that called. Except this time they told him the cancelation call was made on 8/4. They agreed to turn our water back on today but still cannot/will not elaborate on why our water was shut off.

Staff is a bit grumpy, I was able to get a smile after going out of my way to be friendly, that is kind of the opposite of what customer service should be. The worst part is they are EXPENSIVE as all get out. There is no way my family of 4 should be paying nearly $200 a month for water and sewer. I do NOT have a leak, or a runny toilet as they suggested either. This is robbery at its finest! I lived in Lee county in a house TWICE the size of this one and 2 extra people than what we have now, that bill was $60 at its worst month! I cant wait to LEAVE Harnett county. Don't move here if you don't have to!!!!!

I'm not sure. I've had my service for 20 years now. I know they do a credit check. You'll have to call them directly.
It's impossible to get a real Human Being on that phone. The worst customer service i have ever seen. They don't care anything about there customers. You can't talk to any of the supervisor"s they told me to call angie the financial officer at the number. That no human being ever answer"s Charged me with late payments on a house that hasn't had water service on since 2011. No service since 2011. I bought this house in October of 2019. How can you be charged for a service you never used. If you buy a home in harnett county, buyer beware. The people at Harnett regional water will hurt you credit score . Charged me for rwo late payments on that water bill. An now they want 317.00 dollors an some change to cut the water on. I guess the only recourse i have is small claims court. To get this off my credit report.
