Love going to church here!

I don't understand the bad reviews. Yes two chores a week and they don't allow you to get high and drunk. I got a bed, did my chores and not one person staff or resident has been disrespectful. Its not the Hilton, or a five star dining establishment but its very accommodating for a person in need. I even picked up a day job made a little cash for my comforts. Thank you peoples city mission. Thank you Lord

Need a place to go... They serve breakfast lunch and dinner here... Pretty good place to eat except you got to put up with all the stinky people live there not sure why this place has a problem with personal hygiene... they've got showers for the residents so I'm not sure why anybody wouldn't use them... When I was there I showered every night it was good place to get a few nights of rest and get on your feet you're not going to want to stay any longer than you have to. Give it five stars because it's one of those places that give you somewhere to go if you don't have nowhere to go...

Great people with hearts for Jesus!

At the Help Center and are the PCM it self
There is a volunteer coordinator who can tell you all you need. Just call the mission and tell them you want to volunteer. Bless you
Yes they can.
Yes they use to take them directly on the back dock...also this time of year socks, underwear, gloves coats and the like are appreciated. Razors toothpaste shampoo body wash etc
11:15 for families and 12:30 for single men
It depends. As far as a traditional homeless shelter, there is only 1 in town. The people's City mission. Like everything in this world it has its ups and downs but all and all its a great place with great help if you take advantage. I live on the transitional housing side, private rooms and freedom to grow and get back into the swing of life. The general emergency shelter side is form living. You are able to eat 3 fairly well planned meals a day and seconds galore as well as ability to stay in and hang out if need be. Sorry this was long winded, I hope it helps..... Good luck my friend.
Paat down town over a big brigh
Mon -frii.8-5pm.
Yes you can
Good question ⁉️
I don't believe so, call them and check though.
18. You need an ID and negative Covid results and proof last I heard
Yes you can, just bring to mission and drive round to the back .. they have a loading dock you can leave your stuff. And thank you !
Yes would love to just call
Mike the curtis center attached to there did allow my son to work nights and sleep days.you just need to follow their rules and see if they have a bed.I am not sure how to go about that for sure because he had a social worker that helped him.
I stay there. They do not put husband and wife together. They will sepeetste the both of you. But yes you have to show proof of everthing.
There are 2 sides 1 for men and 1 for families both in the same building
It might be more financially sound to go to SCC first. You may also want to consider trade school in Milford. Also, there are two year studies to be a line man...they make good money after. Or if an electric or plumbing company hires you, you can apprentice and go to school at the same time.
Yes they offer hot showers, when the washers aren't running. Meal times are 6:45 am, 11:15, and 4:45
You can donate anything You want
Only if there not soiled and no stains no rips or tairs
The Help Center at 6800 P street will take it and if its in good shape, will find a good home for it.
All over lincoln. There are at least 2 food nets every day. Just Google food net
You have to have a picture ID. And can't be a sex offender. The staff is very Good and will help you as much as they can. GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS YOU.
5:45 am
You can get discount $8 startran bus passes. No Greyhound or anything like that
I'm still a human being in need of help.
The people city mission did not close down
Most definitely. Between the children who stay at mission itself and the parents who come to the Help Center to find needed items, car seats are in demand
Either at the mission itself, there is a loading dock out back . Or you can take it to the help center at 6800 P street. Which ever works best for you.
Staff does not kick people out of the mission. People kick themselves out. The only time a guest is "kicked out" is when they are attempting to disrupt the peace and order of the mission. When staff is tasked with keeping the peace and order and a client is disruptive, there are 2 options; Continue letting that person be disorderly and disruptive, or call the police and have them escorted to a safe place. The Staff at the PCM just want things to run smoothly and will get rid of people causing problems.
Call the people's city mission
If I get out of jail and have one where to go can I come there
Center for ppl in need, Catholic Social Services, Lutheran Family Services, 211, blue pages in phonebook, Mission gives to ppl staying there
Volunteer's are always needed. That would be great if you served Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you.
