It might be more financially sound to go to SCC first. You may also want to consider trade school in Milford. Also, there are two year studies to be a line man...they make good money after. Or if an electric or plumbing company hires you, you can apprentice and go to school at the same time.
I'm sure that they won't have a problem with you being a student, but you will also have other duties for staying there. Also this is a temporary solution for a place to live. The shelter is only for temporary housing approximately 3 to 6 months. Contact the university for housing opportunity with then. The mission is the last place you should think about.
