Food was delicious and fresh. Generous portions, especially sides. Worth going out of the way to eat here if it’s not already on your path.

I was driving around in Leicester and decided to keep going on Hwy 63 and go up the mountain through Doggett Gap. Coming down, what a surprise to find this artsy, funky little shop/cafe way out in the boonies -- in a tiny hamlet called Trust, where Hwys 209 and 63 meet. Actually, the place isn't so little. The shop has all sorts of gifts -- T shirts, scented candles, fudge and other treats, books, etc. On the other side is a little cafe. There's also what appears to be a small lounge. The homemade biscuits are out of this world -- and served with real butter. The 2 girls staffing the place were both extremely friendly and helpful. Just around the bend (on the Hwy 63 side) is the most adorable tiny chapel you've ever seen, with seating for 8. I'll definitely be coming back. It's not too far from where I live.

The other day after fly fishing the stream near Trust General Store. I went inside for a sandwich. The lady clerk was very helpful, even though she appeared to be the only one working that day. She took time to have my sandwich [ egg and cheese burrito) warmed up in the microwave. She also attended to two or three other customers. The store is very nice and clean kept, as well as the restroom. You can purchase local honey and Amish butter. Quality homemade lo al crafts, art and photographic art. Along with a small selection of fishing supplies. We'll worth stopping at. If this review helped you, please select LIKE! May GOD bless you.

Stopped here on the way to Max Patch, they're the last gas station on our route to the mountain and someone forgot to get gas in town. Thankfully this adorable little place exists. I don't care that their gas prices are more than in town, y'all need to make sure this place stays in business. The inside is super clean, super well organized, clearly labeled, and the supplies they have are what you'd want on the mountain, and the shelves aren't dusty. It's really well cared for. It's full of locally sourced products, jams, pickles, local art. I love that. The ladies working the register were wildly helpful, sharing local tips for both Hot Springs and Max Patch and they've even got print outs with directions to the mountain for folks who lose GPS. We came during the off season so the restaurant part was working on a limited menu, coffee and bagels. Instead, we grabbed two oatmeal cream pies that are made in house. Y'all, they're SO GOOD. Season starts memorial day weekend - May 21, 2022 to be specific. Protip: pee here before heading to Max Patch, there aren't any bathrooms on the mountain. But don't pee and dash - be good citizens and buy stuff.
