The house band is too loud and there is a $15 charge just to drink or dine in the Tonga Room because there is a band playing. The staff is phenomenal though. They are attentive, professional, and made sure everything was just right.

Best rain room around.

The drinks are good and the vibe is great!

Cute and fun! Too bad they had finished eating .. but it's so funny that you forget you haven't eaten!

So there is no cover per se most nights, but there is a table fee of $15 per person (aka if you don't pay then you don't get to sit at a table which they say pays for the live music) and honestly the experience is better with table service rather than trying to fight the crowds for a drink.
Well the famed penthouse is $18,000 a night. But hey!, They've got to pay for that 20 million dollar renovation somehow!
I don't believe that they take reservations, unless you are a guest of the hotel
There is dancing when the Island Groove Band is playing. The band olays from a flosting barge in the "lagoon". The lagoon was converted from a 75 foot long swimming pool in 1929. The band starts at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday the music starts at 8:15.
Thursday thru sunday
Only if you plan to go for dinner. No cover charge for the bar
It's a cover band of mostly top-40 hits from different decades and currently.
No just people
No reservations
Yes. You will still have to pay bar prices though.
Specifically for meals.
The Fairmont Hotel is pet friendly. However your pet must be a service animal to go into the restaurants.
Yes
Yes, you can and is advisable if you want a table over the weekend .
I think that the monsoon 'tech effects' will captivate him. My spouse is a sixty-year-old kid who still loves it. (Kids don't go places for the quisine, generally.) 🍔
Hmmm... 10pm, maybe? Possibly later on weekends, but not 100% sure.
NellyBeans is correct
The hotel does. The Tonga Room is located in a lower floor of the hotel.
No restrictions. Make sure no one in your party jumps in the pool. 5k fine
Yes! I took my 5 year old. They gave us a terrific seat, and everyone was really sweet to her. They'll even make mocktails. We stuck to a Shirley Temple and shared the appetizer platter. The live band plays standard oldies, and on our way out we decided to dance to "My Girl" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". It was a wonderful date night with my baby girl.
Sorry, but the food IMO is just OK. The drinks are what I go there for. There are so many better places to eat in that area, I recommend eating dinner first then going to the Tonga Room.
Reservations are onlu accepted for large groups (8+) if youre not staying at the hotel. If you're a hotel guest you can make reservations with the front desk or Concierge. The restaurant can be busy some nights so if you can its recommended.
Yes, took my 6 year old there
