I’m extremely unhappy. I just checked in and the first room wreaked of urine, the desk had no chair to sit in, and the bathroom was beyond subpar. The second room doesn’t have the nasty urine smell but is no better. I am actively trying to reduce my 5 night stay to 1 night. The lobby is misleading to what you will get upstairs. The elevators, hallways and decor could use a major renovation. I feel like I’m staying at the Super 8. I’m very uncomfortable here. The pictures don’t depict what you actually get. Beware!

I was visiting Duluth, Georgia and booked at Sonesta Select for two nights. From the first minute after I checked in, I had these notes: First thing I faced was the smell of Marijuana near the elevators and the hallways all the way to my room. So if you're ok. with that smell, it could be the place for you to stay in. Second, they have two elevators, but only one was working. It takes forever to go up or down, If you request it during the rush time. Third, the room had downsides, like the sink was clogged and takes forever to drain the water, also the bathroom wall wrapping was ugly and peeled of from some areas. Also, the bathing soaps and conditioner containers were unmounted which leads to use them while they're on the floor. It is just inconvenient situation (pictures attached) The only reason I booked there was it is located near major roads and near all kind of restaurants and shops. I don't think I will stay in that hotel anymore in my future visits, unless they make some major changes.

So I’m not picky but when my family and I go out of town we like a good upscale hotel. The price was good(you get what you pay for) but the host was kind of nonchalant like he didn’t wanna be friendly and was kind of rude. The knob on our sink was loose like it was about to break. Stains on the carpet. No microwave in the room. Bathroom was like very very small! We got a room with 2 queens beds and sofa bed but clearly the beds look like twins beds & was very uncomfortable . I have seen Queen and they was not queen beds, very uncomfortable as well. Also found beer bottles by the couch so did they clean ? Apparently not. The elevator had its ups & downs . Had to wait like 15 mins i guess cause it’s old. The pool was closed which is aggravating cause we had our son with us and it’s June so idk. It was decent to where we didn’t have to find another hotel but we won’t be going back.

Positive: It was very clean and the staff was great. The shower started leaking in the bathroom, I called the front desk and a few minutes they came and fixed it. The gentleman that came and fixed it was extremely nice and very courteous. Negative: The bed could have been more comfortable. Other than that it was a very nice and beautiful place.
