Went on Morgan Trail for a light walk but I ended up getting adventurous and continuing the Loop trail around the Pasture. It was a great way to start the weekend and you hardly run into other people. I'm so glad i live only a few minutes away from this haven.

If you know the area ie CH there is always a chance for copperhead sitings during summer ,fall.They are usually slow in cool weather,hiding under rocks,leafs! Merritts Pasture and Morgan Creek are their stomping grounds. That was James Taylor's stomping ground as a young Chapel Hillian , wrote the Song Copperline about the surrounding environment,Trvia I guess👍
The pasture and bike paths close at dusk. I don't know of any camping in town. The closest camping is probably Jordan Lake
