Spoke to Mark on the phone about renting a newly listed property in Chapel Hill, NC. It took him less then 40 seconds to cut me off and tell me he is busy and to just email him. Will be taking my business somewhere else.

Landlords are not law enforcement obviously. Recommend calling 911 and have them look into whatever / whomever is threatening you. Leases are typically 12 months so it's not a forever issue. If you can't resolve it give your lease notice as soon as possible. Many leases renew year to year (not month to month). If you do not want to stay longer than contracted give notice as soon as possible so that you may leave when the contract ends. We never recommend challenging anyone yourself. Get the proper authorities involved. Stay safe.
