I have been trying to get help for over three years about my application . Apparently my aplicatuion says I am on the waiting list for housing in Yolo , Ca. I have lived in Yolo County all my life. I called a few weeks ago to have this corrected but when i got transferred my call got droped. Unacceptable. Why won't someone help me?? I need some help asap . I am missing out on getting section 8. I guess your agency forgets about people every day ,

Hope you're on a waiting list for over 10 years I was hoping today that my number had come up and I could go ahead and get low and come housing it was just an update to let him know I was still interested I'm heartbroken

Nice people that work there but not much help. If looking for housing they give you list of apartments not even available.

He needs to apply online just Google "Yolo County housing authority"
Housing voucher list is closed. But you can apply online for open lists at www.ych.ca.gov and click the "apply for housing" tab.
I would try calling the yolo county services office, and explain the problem. They may just refer you to Yolo housing authority, Which is who handles section 8 anyway so that that should work and if they don't offer you ask for the number. Bonus: both entities have a public offices in Woodland ( YHA off of W. Main Street, nearest cross street is California st. And the yolo county services building off of cottonwood St. In Woodland as well. ) hope that helps!
No you should not withhold your rent however you should put it in writing to your landlord with you of your needs you can do two things you can return it to him and you can also have the certified but do not withhold your rent
