Great location. Employees are cheerful and helpful, however, buy prices are substantially lower than national price averages. So beware. It's not a rip off, but prices could be a little more in line with national prices.

Staff was friendly and very helpful!

Check the metals on the barbques. If you break it down you can maximize your payout. Some barbques have aluminum and stainless steel parts that will pay better then turning it in as a whole. If aluminum or stainless parts are there, be sure to remove nuts and bolts that are steel to invrease its value.
What is the price of copper
Green Zone does accept aluminum cat food cans and tin cans as well. the aluminum cans can be redeemed for the aluminum scrap value so don't mix them up with the tin cans. Miss Smith, if you'd like to make a bit more off the cat cans, just remove the labels and it would be a plus to wash them out before bringing them in. if you have a curbside recycling bin, you can simple toss the cans inside there as an alternative to bringing the cans into the the recycling center.
I don't know the answer because I'm not affiliated with them but I know they move more product then anyone else But hey go talk to them
Have to take to the yolo co landfill
I don't know my friend
I don't know only went there once and I got $3.21lb for bright and shiny
Yes they do recyycle glass jars.
Yes Green Zone recycles bikes. If you want to just get ride of a few bikes laying around it would be best to through it out in the large pile of metal or talk to one of the forklift driver for the best location to drop them off. For more information please call the office between 8am to 4:30pm. If you are looking to make a few bucks here is a tip on determining what sort metal frame you have: ·Check for rust on the large surfaces of the frame. If the bike has been sitting outside for a while there is likely to be some rust development where the metal is exposed. ·If you have a magnet laying around, see if it sticks to the frame. Aluminum is a non magnetic metal or Non ferrous so if the magnet doesn't stick, its most likely going to be aluminum. To make the most for your buck, strip it completely of any parts that stick to the magnet.
Green Zone does accept water heaters. For more information please call the office anytime between 8am and 4:30pm.
I am a frequent patron of the Green Zone and have seen many washers and dryers there, so I know they take them, but I don't think they will give you anything for them. I dropped off an old fridge, but got no money. On the other hand I dropped off a few hundred pounds of scrap pipe and got like $25.
I would have to say no on the running factor. Its rare to see something running or functioning properly being recycled. It maybe possible to find a fixer upper but there is no guaranteeing that you even find a riding lawn mower. Calling in will not be as helpful in finding such a specific item, but it wouldn't hurt to try every once in awhile. The best plan of action would be to take some time and browse around the yard. If you do be careful around the pile, where you most likely would find it.
The easiest way to bypass a three day hold is to have a business or contractor licence along with a valid ID. When recycled in bulk Non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass, aluminum, and stainless steel may require a three day hold before a payment can be made. There are other ways to avoid this waiting period. For more information call the office any time between 8am and 4:30pm.
Yes, the customer service representative can help identify a variety of metals. If you have any questions about a piece of metal you wish to turn in, bring it up to the shop and they will take a look at it. Green Zone collects metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steel and general steel and tin items. The methods used to check for any of theses types of metals may damage the surface of the item, so if you have something that you are considering holding on to id look into some scrapper videos on YouTube about identifying metals before bringing it in. There are some simple tricks that are easy to do and may even save you some time while you are at the Green Zone.
Are you calling the 530-661-6800 number?
No. Green Zone does not recycle or dispose of any E-Waste materials such as televisions and personal computers. I would recommend Britt's Electronic Recycling on California Street for recycling a television.
