I am a newly retired, recently local resident. I have a 35' Class A motorhome and needed to move it while contractors did some extensive landscaping to the property where I was staying. I had called another campground, but was unable to speak with anyone and didn't want to book online without explaining what I needed, so I called Northstar. The phone was answered by one of the owners, who are an extremely pleasant, young couple. She listened as I explained my situation. I needed 4 nights with water and electric. I also explained that I was also a newbie to RVing and was a little nervous about parking, etc. She was very reassuring and booked me an amazing site by the river. When I arrived, I checked in and her husband took me to the site and helped me park exactly where I needed to be to access the water and electric. The site was beautiful, level and bigger than any other campground I had stayed at. The seasonal campers were also very nice and because of the time of year, many sites were empty, so it was quiet. I was scheduled to stay through Friday night, but even with many new people arriving for the weekend, it was peaceful. They have a huge field with a pavilion, horseshoe pits and a playground for kids. The entire campground is kept extremely clean. The showers are coin operated and have plenty of hot water. The owners are available from at least 9a-9p and make regular "rounds" without being intrusive. After spending 4 nights, I wanted to stay one more, which I was able to do. Even with most of the sites occupied, Saturday night was great as well. I will definitely stay there again, and added my name to the 2023 seasonal waiting list! Thanks again!!

We stayed one night on our way through to Maine. I wish we stayed longer! They had a mix of field and wooded sites, a stream that runs through the grounds, and lots of activities for kids. The staff is awesome and makes you feel at home. Clean restrooms and showers. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome place to stay. It was our first night at Northstar and it did not disappoint. Amazing locations with lots of trees and beautiful river and really nice people. This will be an annual visit.

Yes. They take reservations. I just know the business/campground. Send them a note.
Some sites are very large (even more suitable for groups), some are smaller....mainly along the road down towardcthe cul de sac if you look on their map. Cul de sac sites are very good size. Kayaking at Pillsbury St. Park-roughly 5-6 miles away, or Lake Sunapee, which is probably 10+ miles away.
You will need to call the office for this information.
