I have been trying to renew my food stamps for a month. I’ve been out of food for a month at this point. I just had two back surgeries and can’t work very much at all so I’m in a tight spot. I’ve supplied all the requested information weeks ago and have been calling every single day for a month being told something different each time I call. I’m not sure what the answer is as I know they’re probably understaffed but I do know that this system isn’t serving people who need the help right now.

I don’t make a lot of bad reviews, in fact this is my first bad review ever ,Debra Randall was very short with me and made me feel dumb. Applying for benefits for a short amount of time shouldn’t be this hard. I am a single mother to a child with special needs with one income and all I get approved of is $80 or less of stamps! And not only did she not care about the fact I was sick , she didn’t give me any guidance on where to go if denied ! I do not recommend her as a person to speak to ! Try to avoid her , her inability to listen to your concerns , also being short with her answers as if you know everything about public assistance! Request someone else it is not worth the unnecessary rudeness.

I called them at 9am in the morning and had an expectancy wait of almost 2 hrs so I queued in for them to call me back. They called me back around 230pm, just to put me on hold and hang up on me?! WHAT IS YALLS PROBLEM! It’s 2022! Our living situations depend on y’all’s help. You want me to be urgent about information y’all need and when I try to give it to y’all— you get to take your sweet time and ignore me completely as if I didn’t try? Than have the audacity to close people’s cases off of YOUR workers incompetence?! SMH!
