It’s so difficult getting a boat on the weekend with less than three weeks notice, and you can only have one weekend( a full day Saturday or a full day Sunday) booked at any one time. So you book your Saturday 3 weeks from now and can’t book any thing else on a weekend until that one frees up again, and then guess what…nothing is available for three more weekends…I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone who Works 9-5 like myself because you cannot get boats on the weekend more than once maybe twice a month. I’m already in it for the season and will update if I see any improvement but as of now, I do not see this being worth the hassle for $5000 down and $400 a month.

9/10/2021 UPDATE. Still one of our favorite reciprocal clubs! The weather closed Cape Cod, so FBC Warwick went out of their way to accommodate us. The staff is still extremely knowledgeable and friendly!!! Give Warwick a shot!! 10 out of 10!!! Wow. Bob and Captain Lance were excellent. We had a reservation from 2p-7p, but the rain was scheduled for 4-5pm arrival. We drove down from Boston and met Lance and Bob on the dock. They checked and got us out on "Sea Legs" around 10:30. We went out to Newport, where Lance knew the Harbor Master. We were able to dock at the municipal ramp, just outside of downtown. The Newport Fire Department was testing their fire boat, and even helped us tie up. A short walk to the "Lobster Shack" and we were in business. We then took the boat out past Ft. Adams (free bathrooms there) and into the Atlantic. We came back in by South Kingstown, and ended up stopping in North Kingstown. They too had a 2-hour courtesy dock with bars and bathrooms right there. We then took the 23' Cobia up to Providence for some sightseeing. When we returned the Cobia, the staff was great and helped with our gear. $100 in fuel seemed cheap for all the exploring and fun we had! Once back, we stopped in at Chelo's Waterfront Bar and Grille for an appetizer. By far, this club went out of their way to accommodate us guys from Michigan! Thank You!

Do you have weekly rentals?

It’s hard to get boats period, if you complain about it. They terminate your membership and keep all your money

can I launch a kayak here, and can I do that before you open

That would be a question for the marina, not Freedom Boat Club but I doubt it. Access to piers are via key card and it is private property, not a public dock.

Can u split membership with friend or family member?

My son and I did and after they got thousands from us they said the rules changed and then terminated are membership for complaining about getting boats. Kept all the money and we was members for only like 2 months from the start of the season. My recommendation is to stay away

Can I fish there either from the dock or concrete walls
