Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus - Easton Area, an IHG Hotel

My husbands employer booked this for our family so he could travel to columbus to work on their equipment. They informed us upon arrival that we needed to give them a credit card. Apparently they didn't tell the employer that their fax wasn't working well when they asked them to fax payment info. So phone call to employer was made and things were fixed. The man that booked it informed them that it was a family and they said to request a roll out bed upon arrival. There was no roll out bed available. So we had to make pallets for the kids that didn't have a bed. Our second night we had to listen to extremely loud music until 11:30 to 12. Extremely loud menaing the bass was vibrating in our room. Apparently they had allowed people to rent a meeting room for a "celebration of life party". We called the front desk at 9:45 and asked when the music would stop because we needed to get to bed in preparation for leaving early the next morning. Was told the music was supposed to end at 10. The music was very disturbing and kept us from sleeping. The room did not have a microwave. So we were forced to stand in a closet sized area next to the checkin area to prepare food for our family of 6. So plan to eat out the entire time you are here. The bathroom vent was broken. The bathroom had a bad smell as soon as we arrived. Their was a lady and a man working the breakfast. The man was polite and nice. The lady was not nice at all. She was hateful, griping at people telling them to not cross contaminate the food, and she was trying to start trouble with people that was eating their breakfast. The place seemed clean enough, but would not stay there again. This hotel could do so much better.

Room was dirty, pretty sure bathroom hadn’t been cleaned from previous guest. Soap was missing from the box on the counter. Needs updating on things that are broken or damaged. Some lights wouldn’t work, or the phone or alarm clock. Food/stains on walls,carpet and around lights by bed. Hot tub was completely yellow and pool was not clear and had stuff floating in it. Front desk staff was nice and helpful. Location was good. But I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. We used a recommendation from a local store to stay here and I’ve notified them of the conditions of the hotel and that maybe they should pull their recommendation from the website. We didn’t even attempt to try breakfast. The ratings on this are very misleading. It wasn’t a good stay at all.

Had to stay in the area for work travel, great two night stay. The hotel staff was very helpful and welcoming upon arrival and the rest of the stay. The fitness center was nice and had a good range of equipment. The hotel and room were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would definetely consider staying here again!

The room and hotel its self not bad. But my truck along with 4 other vehicles got broken into. Apparently this has been an issue in the past but stopped for awhile. Then have new cameras but it didn't help. We had to keep calling cops to get one to come. ( this is normal to them they don't care) stuff obviously was stolen and aside from a video and apologizing the hotel didn't do much to help but provide a bag to put over window to keep rain out. No one told me it was in a sketchy area. Now I know. Watch out for the guy on the pic.
