The races at saratoga are probably the most widely watched races in the U.S. during the summer. If anything obvious during the races were happening where this was apperant, it would be seen from multiple angles in replays that are publically available on line through nyra.com. i think that this would be the most difficult place in the U.S. for this to occur but this is just my opinion. The only thing that I have noticed more of this year is that the post time favorite seems to shift just before the race goes off, but I think this is because the internet money is being mingled into the pool at that time? If you want a favorite in your multi race bets, I usually bet early and include a MTO or AE horse that I think will be scratched, just so i am assured of getting a post time favorite in there

The gates open early for people to get a table, have breakfast etc. Then at 10 am everyone has to leave until the official gates open at 11 am

Due to the upcoming construction @ Belmont, they opened Saratoga earlier this year, but are keeping the same amount of race dates. Therefore, racing 5 days a week for nearly 8 weeks result in the same number of race dates spread over a longer period of time.

There are a lot under the the trees on the main picnic lawn. Not the same like it used to be though you have to reserve in advance these tables, or at least most of them. The old days you get there early and put your stuff on it and they were yours, now they get money for it.

Top of the stretch has an area big enough for a party. You could also look into the tent next to the clubhouse. The luxury boxes are another option. Most of the rail has open standing room amd your best option is to get up early and claim a picnic table in the backyard. Wander up to the rail for the races.

The 2018 racing season begins on Friday, July 20 and runs through Labor Day. You can do a google search and check their website as well. The Travers Stakes will be run on the last Saturday in August, a week before Labor Day weekend.

There are lots of places to park from people's lawns to side streets to the general parking offered by Saratoga Race Track itself. As long as you drive near the track I promise you that you will find parking.

It depends what time the race starts and also how many races they have so like the the Travers is starts at 11:30 usually it starts at 1 though and ghost about 6:30 or 7 but you can leave anytime you want but usually the best races are the last ones
