My name is Pablo, my 81 year old mother suffer a health episode while in an assisted living facility and was sent to the hospital, the hospital medicated her to a point were she was not functional, they said it was because she pulled her IV and Foley Catheter then she was sent to a place where she could get a higher level of care called Terrace for a short period, there she was kept over medicated and no one cared to explain why, my Brother and myself raised concerns about this and had great concerns about the quality of care, Terrace forwarded her case to RIO PINAR HEALTH and they took my mother in, Ms. Sue in admission interviewed me and was so sincere about everything that it gave me a great deal of hope that I would see some improvement in my mothers behavior, the doctors at Rio Pinar Health noticed immediately the over medication and the health problems my mother was facing, also they noticed the way the Doctors at, First St. Cloud Hospital and later at terrace had over medicated my mother and had not done the procedures that the doctors indicated that they needed to perform. one month after my mother was admitted to Rio Pinar Health the changes in my mothers behavior and mobility are so palpable that I have to say was very rewarding to see my mother interacting with people, talking to me and even telling me how she was being treated. Something that she stopped doing for a while. I have to say that RIO PINAR HEALTH up to this point in time 09/08/2022 has lived to a better standard than a lot of people give them credit for. Thanks to Ms. Sue, Ms. Valentina the Doctors and staff of Rio Pinar Health.

Visited this place yesterday for a tour because my friend is going to Rio for rehabilitation. Decided to go before placement because the reviews were low and not very good. The place was very clean which surprised me a lot. Nurses everywhere. Noticed a lot of bilingual staff and patients talking in the hallway. Front office busy but helpful and kind. Not sure about the food because I couldn’t see it but overall I like it.

I never wrote reviews on the internet. I decided to do it because the place left me pleasantly surprised, the place is beautiful, there is a good atmosphere, very clean, the grandparents look very well cared for and without a doubt we have already chosen it as the new home to take our relative who already has illnesses age-specific. Thank you for being so kind.

We traveled from tulsa to Orlando to visit a relative who lives in this center, we were pleasantly surprised, it is not the same place we visited months ago, they have improved in cleanliness and attention, this time we are going back to tulsa happy because my uncle is happy too and well cared

Your length of stay is determined by many factors: your physical condition, any underlying medical conditions, your previous level of independence and where you will go after discharge.
Among others, we offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Physical therapy (PT) examines, evaluates and treats patients with various disorders including musculoskeletal conditions, heart conditions, neurological disorders, wounds, and more. A PT also recommends devices that will assist the patient with function and mobility. Occupational therapy (OT) examines, evaluates and treats patients to afford them improved function in the performance of activities of daily living (ADLs). An OT might train a patient to use medical or adaptive equipment, provide splint fabrication, or perform neuromuscular re-education. OT also includes cognitive retraining associated with ADLs and safety, energy conservation techniques, and sensory deficit compression techniques. Speech therapy evaluates, diagnoses and treats disorders of communication, cognition and language. Sometimes, swallow studies allow for objective assessment of the swallowing function.
The cost of skilled nursing varies depending on where you live, what level of care is provided and what type of accommodations you choose. Most seniors do not usually meet their long-term care needs from any one source. Instead a combination of support private funds, long-term care insurance and government assistance is used to cover the costs. Medicare covers post-hospital, short-term skilled care only and may not cover the cost of ongoing nursing home care. For low-income seniors who meet eligibility requirements, Medicaid might pay a portion of the cost.
Check with the center you are considering and ask them about pet policies. Some centers have pets on site or offer pet therapy that all of the residents can enjoy and interact with.
Yes. Skilled nursing (or nursing home) centers have a full calendar of activities and social events for residents, including art classes, ice cream socials, bingo and game night, prayer service, movie night and much more!
Skilled nursing centers are designed to provide specialized care individuals who have health conditions that require constant monitoring and availability of medical personnel. Skilled nursing centers, also known as nursing homes, provide 24-hour clinical supervision, meals, activities and health management support for their residents.
