This is an excellent apartment building, perhaps the best I’ve lived in. My unit was spacious and comfortable, everything was new and high quality. Very importantly, the building has an excellent sound insulation both between the units and from the street noise. Another feature to note is the central A/C - it’s not something to be without during those summer heat and smoke waves. The amenities are fantastic, I wish I used them more. The leasing/management team was a pleasure to work with. Natasha and Kelton made leasing the apartment and moving in an easy and straightforward process, and Natasha was there to help when my lease was over and on the move out day. Big thanks to other team members, including Cristina and Geoff, for helping me with various issues and questions I had during my stay at the Stratus. The front desk/concierge staff are also great and respond quickly when you need their help. Overall, a great place to live if you’re looking for a home in Seattle SLU area!

My girlfriend and I lived in Stratus for a year, and I am giving my most honest feedback here. I hope this will help anyone considering Stratus as their next home. Pros: - This rental apartment has one of the best Amenities in the Seattle SLU area. - The concierge is generally friendly and helpful. We had no issue with receiving packages. I got to say the package storing system is very well-organized. - Their maintenance team is 5 stars – we usually get our home appliance/plumbing issues fixed within 24 hours - Our unit (35+ floor, unit number 04)has a fantastic layout, gorgeous city & lake view, which is rare elsewhere. Cons: The rent is expensive compared to other rentals, which I expected. However, the leasing office & management team doesn't operate like any other luxury apartments – I have to admit that I have high expectations for the group given the rent I paid to stay here, and I was very disappointed on several occasions – 1. They double charged our rental insurance for six months until we found out about it and contacted them for a refund. 2. They overcharged parking fees for several months ($35 extra per month). At first, we were told that our parking spot was an E-charging spot, thus the price difference, but then we realized it was just a regular spot with an electrical outlet. We did get a refund later on, but that was after rounds and rounds of time-consuming communication. 3. After the parking incident, they promised to move us to the E-charging spot if one was available, but they didn't keep their promise. We've never gotten notified about the new available spots while we saw other residents who moved in after getting those E-charging spots. 4. Bonus story if you are still reading – We signed a lease before we could look at the unit because it was not vacant at the time. The leasing agent told us to sign the lease first, and they'll allow us to change to another unit if we don't like the one we chose. However, when we finally got to do a walk of the unit and discovered that there was construction going on next to it, the leasing team changed their promise immediately. They rejected our request to switch to another unit. After rounds and rounds of negotiating, and luckily we have written proof about their first statement, we finally get to switch units. But as you can imagine, the whole negotiating experience was very time-consuming and energy-breaking. All in all, I think their management team is not competent in dealing with things that they are not familiar with, thus pushing the responsibility to the residents. You'll have to speak up firmly and fight for your rights to resolve things, which is exhausting and not a delightful experience. In short, Stratus is a great place to live if you don't have to deal with the leasing/managing team. If you don't care about that or are a great negotiator, I think this will be the right place for you.

I am literally *obsessed* with the stratus. Coming up on our 6th month of living here and we have absolutely loved it. As a matter of fact, while we aren’t crazy about Seattle as a city, my husband and I have joked that stratus + the coffee scene are the cities saving grace. We moved here on the suggestion of a former coworker nearly sight unseen and the first time in our apartment all we could do is say “wow” (I’m sure Natasha will vouch for that!). As many others mentioned, the building itself has beautiful amenities that are clean and spacious. The gym is functional with a mixture of cardio equipment, dumbbells, and weight training machines - I use the gym at least 3x a week and it’s never crowded early in the morning. The rooftop is beautiful and expansive while the inside is cozy. It’s great for working remotely with little nooks and tables to take advantage of. The game room on six is also fun! Most importantly, the 24/7 concierge is amazing. The staff are super friendly, package pickup is fast and on point, and the building always feels secure (this was a HUGE factor for us). There are 4 elevators that can be finicky and slow at times but it never causes a major distribution for us. I will say, the parking garage is TIGHT and it’s expensive, but it feels secure and is better than other options in the area. The units themselves are really beautiful: modern yet cozy with high end finishes. We live in a 1 bedroom, approx ~750 sqft which feels huge because of the large sliding glass door and windows. The layouts are also *amazing* and super functional. I love our dual sink bathroom with deep soaking tub and the walk in closet is another huge perk. Another important factor is the units are well spaced out from one another and the walls are reinforced so there is minimal noise from your neighbor and the outside. You will hear the trolley dinging depending on the floor you’re on, but it’s hardly disruptive. We had originally looked at another building closer to lake union that was the same square footage + luxury style that would have cost hundred of dollars more to basically get the same thing. I also love there’s some green space out front for our pup and the best coffee in Seattle, monorail, is right around the corner. If you’re looking for a luxury building that is walkable to most areas downtown, don’t hesitate on the stratus. I’m sure there are other places that are cheaper but.. are they luxury? Do they have an amazing staff? Probs no. We love you stratus!

I've lived here a few months now and I've loved it so much. My apartment itself is lovely and the nicest I've lived in, the staff are lovely, and the amenities are incredible – one of the reasons I chose Stratus was the art room, and they've even started hosting painting nights, so much fun!Thank you for sharing your affection for our community, Christina! We are pleased to hear that you are happy with your home and our team. Enjoy the painting nights.
