They definitely have a contact number for nothing, lousy, unheard of, frustrating. It's a waste of time to call😔
I understand that people's privacy and security is paramount, but they need effective and personal communication, not an obsolete machine that solves nothing.
Unfortunately technology is not always effective or good.

The IRS is hiding behind a locked door at 1540 Cornerstone Blvd in Daytona beach. They moved from US1 early last year and never updated the pictures. This has led many people to drive to the wrong location. Here are some photos of the new location in the Tanger outlets. I hope this helps someone find the hide and seek world champion IRS🤣

These people are a joke they work with the IRS to make sure you just get a run around before finally giving up
I have not received my federal tax refund check. The tax return was sent on February 27, 2018. my mail is now forwarded to WV since May 14. What can I do?

The IRS WILL NOT FOWARD the mail. You will need to call them to update your address.
We filed our return on 03/13/2020, have yet to see our refund. Wife and I are on SS and Medicare, refund is triple what the "stimulus" checks were. Why is IRS screwing over seniors? How would IRS respond to us owing them that much money this long?

Good luck I've been trying to make an appointment for over a year. When I call it says we're busy and try again later. They are quick to take your hard earned money but when they owe you GOOD LUCK.
In april I went on line to IRS.gov and paid ten thousand to the 2021 taxes i would owe.. I THOUGHT I DID THAT, WHAT I DID BY MISTAKE WAS PAY TO 2022 TAXES.. NOW I OWE A LARGE AMOUNT TO IRS AND I NEED THAT TEN THOUSAND TRANSFERED FROM 2022 TO 2021.

If you can't reach anyone on the 1-800 number schedule an appointment for the office closest to you.
A rent a cop won't let you in the door. Dont bother hoping for assistance. Yes, the appointment line disconnects callers..

Honestly, I've spent the last year trying to get a hold of the IRS. They are by appointment only made over the phone. Both the Daytona and Maitland locations have no appointments for the rest off the year. They are next to impossible to get a hold of right now. I hope you hear something.

They aren't even open, you need to call them. If you have marketplace insurance then you didnt send a form 1045 A with your return and the geniuses at the irs neglected to send you a notice like they did me.

It took 2 days and about 4 hours on hold, to finally speak to somebody to set up an appointment.
The irs received my 2019 tax returns by mail 3/30/2020..6/5/2020 and no return yet. when i go on the website it says "refund status error" information does not match. all the info i typed is correct..is there anyway to contact them? #800 same answer

You can go onto the irs.gov website and there will be a link that says "get my tax record." Once you click on it, you will two options available to receive your paperwork.
