Rooms are small and there is a wait to get in (at the time we applied it took us a little over a month but wait varies they are NOT an emergency shelter) but its 3 meals a day and a chance to get back on your feet financially and look for a safe place to live. The staff is all extremely friendly and helpful!

This place doesn't help anyone or helps very few. They are a scam...they embezzle money here.
Yes they do. Just visit the office first. We have donated directly to them in the recent pass.
Yes
They have several ways for you to become involved I live right next to Hope Place and it seems to begin great there is a young lady Shannon Farrell on Facebook who works with volunteers there
James, we are going to have a Christmas celebration with the families at Hope Place. I don’t have all the details but I know Santa Claus will be making an appearance. Send your contact info to Buck@HalifaxUrbanMinistries and remind me your interest in helping out on Christmas and I will get you in contact with the organizer.
I don't know anyone nasty in there. They are all nice, hard working understanding people who care for and treasure their residents and the children.
Try Walmart way out back
I would like to say yes, that I know for sure, but I cannot. Although, I would say yes anyway because I know that there are families that live there, (mostly single mothers and their children), and I would like to believe that they would accept any type of donations to help those families out. Or maybe to just decorate the facility themselves to make them feel more at home.
Yes there is a shelter on Derbyshire headed towards the transfer plaza
Unsure

Its a beautiful place. Just built. The rooms are big and very comfy. You even got a chef that cooks the food there. Highly suggest looking into it. One of the best shelters ive ever seen
