If you require a lot of modern amenities such as a gym, central heating and air conditioning, then this isn't the place for you. The two-bedrooms are pretty large but the interiors are in rough shape. Windows are thin, so they leak when it rains and the wind blows right through them on bad days. If cats are your thing then this is the place for you! There are dozens of stray cats, most of which aren't fixed, that use the grounds as their kitty litter. Vacavilla is an old place so the plumbing has its issues and you will find your toliet backing up often. Leaks appear out of nowhere due to old pipes, so expect many visits from maintenance. The maintenance crew does there best to bandage the problems, but most the time they will need to redo their work. Lefever Mattson, the owners, are asking too much for rent when you factor in they charge for water, garbage, etc. The windows cause a higher PG&E bill since they aren't energy efficient, due to the fact they aren't sealed properly. So if you want lots of space, go with a two-bedroom or keep searching for an apartment that offers those nice amenities modern times has us accustomed to.
