The chapel is very cute, occupies a small area, has good greenery, is surrounded by trees, and has abundant grass. You can chat and have a picnic here. The opposite is the sea, a very beautiful place. On the day I went there was a wedding, so the church could not enter, everything was so beautiful, thank God for all the beauty.

We do not do receptions at Wayfarers Chapel, but there are many local venues that provide reception services. You can come into the Visitors Center for a list of local vendors. If you reserve a wedding date at the Chapel you will receive the same list in your welcome packet. Thanks for your inquiry!
We require three 1 hour meetings prior to your wedding: A planning conference to go over your wedding service A conference to meet the minister to review your ceremony A wedding rehearsal A valid California marriage license or legal proof of marriage elsewhere is required. No congregation, membership or classes are required.
There is no waiting list. You reserve a day and time that best meets your needs based on our availability.
We have a Sunday Service at 10:00am every Sunday. We have a weekly Prayer Service at 12:00pm every Wednesday.
Engagement photo sessions require a paid photo permit and are scheduled through our Reservations Office.(310)377-1650x1 M-F 9am-4:30pm. Congratulations!
Beautiful greenery and white orchids are planted inside the Chapel. During December, red poinsettias are added and an evergreen Advent wreath is suspended above the altar. Couples may add aisle flowers created by our Chapel florist. (Please see “Wedding Aisle/Pew Flowers” for more details.) To preserve the natural setting, no additional flower arrangements, ribbons, bows or aisle runners are permitted. Rice, confetti, birdseed or flower petals cannot be tossed, inside or outside the Chapel. Bubbles, balloons, butterflies or birds cannot be released after weddings.
There are no facilities for receptions. We will be glad to guide you to the many facilities that are available within a short distance from the Chapel.
Yes, we provide a dressing room for the bride and her attendants. We ask that hair and make-up be completed before arrival. The Bridal Room includes a vanity, private restroom and a full length 3-way mirror.
You may hire your own photographer or you may hire a photographer from our suggested photographers list. All photographers adhere to the same guidelines and must stand behind the last pew during your wedding. Once the wedding is over, you may re-enter the Chapel for close-ups and reenactments. All videographers must adhere to the same guidelines by standing behind the last pew during your wedding service with the exception of our Wayfarers Chapel videographers. They have the capability of using remotely controlled cameras from an adjacent room which provides close-ups during your service. Wayfarers Chapel and grounds are a No Drone Zone.
The Chapel will comfortably accommodate up to 100 guests, plus your wedding attendants.
You will have a full two hours on the Chapel grounds and surrounding gardens. Please arrive no earlier than one hour prior to your designated ceremony time. The marriage ceremony is approximately 15-20 minutes. Departure is at the end of the wedding hour. For example, if your wedding is at 2 p.m., you will arrive at 1 p.m., and your departure time is 3 p.m.
Our Chapel ministers conduct all services. With the approval of our minister, you may invite your minister, priest or rabbi as a guest to participate in your wedding ceremony. We emphasize the word “guest” because our Chapel minister will conduct the majority of the wedding ceremony and sign the marriage license.

Hi, the nearest place to stay is a resort by the name of Terranea, about 3/4 of a mile from us. You might also consider the Doubletree by Hilton in either San Pedro or Torrance, both neighboring cities.
The Chapel will comfortably accommodate up to 100 guests, plus your wedding attendants.
Hi, the Chapel and grounds are open daily, 9am-5pm. We are closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
We are pet friendly! Pets are allowed on the grounds during open hours. Only certified service dogs are allowed inside the Visitors Center and Chapel.

People taking photos here all the time with either professional or amateur equipment. Though, if you need to close an area for that, I'm not sure, but I think youll have to pay the same way as people pay for a wedding ceremony event.
Don't know I'm a Member of The Garden Church on 6th St if I come across the time of service I'll post it
Yes. There is an hour long meeting with our Minister to get to know the couple and to also craft a meaningful wedding ceremony together.

Hi, We are an Ecumenical Ministry of the Swedenborgian Church in North America. Our Clergy are Ordained and most Roman Catholic Churches do accept our Baptism here if your daughter does pursue Catechism at some point in the future. I trust this helps.
Unless we have an event scheduled, the chapel is open to the public. As a general rule, if you come on the odd hour, 9,11,1 or 3, the chapel will be open for 30 minutes in between events on a busy day. It is a good idea to call the Visitors Center (310) 377-1650 ext. 2 a few days prior to when you'd like to visit to check our schedule. For tourist photos/video of the chapel you can just come and take them. For professional photos or video, you need to contact our Reservations office to schedule that: (310) 377-1650 Ext. 1
Hi, We are open to the public 9-5, seven days a week. The grounds are open during this time. However, if you want to visit inside the Chapel, the odd hours of the day are the best time to visit (11am, 1pm, 3pm on weekends). If you happen to be visiting on a weekday it is usually open to the public without many people. Thanks!
Hi. Please call them directly thanks it is very beautiful there
I'm not sure. Please contact them directly to confirm. Thanks
