I have been a patient of this practice for many, many years 25+ years, but last year my husband and I had serious issues with the prescriptions that Dr. Keltner prescribed for us. We kept going back because the prescriptions were not right, mine gave me severe headaches and she could not get the prescriptions even close between close up work on the bifocals for computer use and daily wear. Dr. Keltner gave me every excuse in the book as to why I was having issues with the prescriptions ie: my health/diabetes, my insurance company, we purchased 4 pair of glasses with an out of pocket expense of around $1200.00, the insurance only allowed us to go to a “specific lab”, staff errors, manager was rude, nasty and insulting. We filed a complaint with our insurance company and her resolve was to let us have our yearly exam’s back as a “refund”, then she called and asked to see me one more time to try to resolve the prescription issue, against my better judgement I went she came in for 10 minutes, went over my prescription, left the room for 30 minutes came back and sat down and said she would research it out and see if she could find a resolution because she was “baffled” as to why I couldn’t see through the lenses of either pair of glasses. I left disgusted and as expected never heard from her again. In the meantime I found another eye doctor that informed me the prescriptions were wrong, they were over corrected on both the prescription and the bifocal. I can now see very well and have no issues with my glasses. This is not the practice that Dr. Akamine-Davidson built many years ago it has gone downhill tremendously since Dr. Keltner purchased it, she is just so-so, staff that used to be there are all gone and the new staff is not helpful, uncaring and doesn’t have the knowledge of the insurance plans they carry to save their lives. Don’t waste your time, energy or money here, find a practice that will treat you like your an integral part of their practice and they value you as a patient as much as you value being there.
