Me and my husband are on section 8. We wanted to live here so bad because it was within our budget. We communicated with them from the start. We paid a $1600 Holding deposit (To hold the apartment for us) on July 30th and by Aug 7th they emailed me and said they rented out the apartment because they called multiple times and we didn’t answer. Our phone was lost, so that’s why we didn’t answer. They could’ve emailed us but they didn’t, they decided to email us after the apartment was already rented out to tell us to pick up our deposit. All they were calling for was to ask us if we returned our packet to section 8, which we told them we were going to after we left the office on July 30th. We did everything we needed to do. It’s section 8 responsibility to do the inspection, not ours. And I find it funny how they rented the apartment out so soon when the apartment wasn’t even available until Aug 7th. Thanks a lot A&Y properties, now my family is without a home even longer because we wasted so much time trying to get this place.

I currently live here. Its okay. The apartments need to be renovated, upstairs units stay constantly warm, even when the weather cools down. Neighbors, are disrespectful, slamming doors, playing tvs loud, playing loud music, kids running around screaming at times. Most of the people in the complex are friendly. However, in the alley in the back, where residents park their vehicles (within gated parking), people hang out, random ppl walk thru the alley constantly, trash always being dumped in the alley, cars parked in the alley, so if your trying to come in or out, you can't and the people will give you dirty looks, as if your doing something wrong, when ya just trying to park your car. Back to the inside of the unit, the blinds were put on backwards, frontwards, twisted, all kind of mess with the blinds, the carpet I can tell has not been changed, as all the dirty stains appeared within a few weeks, that myself and family members did not make. When you need something fixed, it does not get fixed right away, but the people that work in the office are extremely friendly. However, if you have limited income and a financial plan and need to live here temporary, the rent is low, BUT.....during the summer you will utterly die here, as all they have in all the units are SWAMP COOLERS, which do NOTHING!!! I am grateful to have a place to live, its really up to the individual that plans on living here. Despite, things could be better with the apartment, but the city needs to improve the neighborhood!!!

Yes Carrie, La Paz Apartments are pet friendly.
Hello Zeyus, we like to know what is the problem, you never lived in this complex after checking our tenant list. If there is an issue we want to know so we can solve it. We care about our tenants and like to solve any issue if it is reasonable.
Hello we work with different programs, however we're not familiar with this feel free to come to the office so we will see what kind of program is it
