Not a very considerate motorcycle training center. When they get the money and you missed the actual driving day, they will promise to call you and put you in another schedule but they won't call you. My son went to a different school which is way better and very nice people.

I'm going to write this review in a way that I would want to see it if I was trying to decide to take this course. Experience Level: I rode dirt bikes a couple of times with my friends when I was younger but did not have any recent experience with something motorized on two wheels. I was a tad concerned about what shifting would be like, but I'm coordinated and figured I could manage. Desired Outcome: I wanted to take the class as a way to "try out" and get exposure to motorcycles without having to buy one. I knew that I like the idea of getting one for my short commute to work, but would I feel differently after sitting on one? U-Ride provides the bikes so this seemed to align well. Process: Two night sessions on zoom where Ted (both funny and personable) walks you through what safe riding looks like. This is largely him explaining how to pass the DMV written application test, so pay attention. Two range sessions where they set up cones in a parking lot and run you through what it's like to be on a motorcycle. The second day they give you a preview of what the practical test will be like, although they don't come right out and say "Hey this is essentially the practical test". After you practice everything they allow you to decide if you want to do the test or not, if you don't you can come back for more instruction. I decided to take the test and passed. Reflections: There were a couple of times when the partner instructor (it was Ted and someone else with us at the parking lot) made remarks about me doing things incorrectly like it should be obvious - like turning the turn signal off (I literally did not know how to do this) or raising the kick stand in order to start. But to think that I was with these guys for 8 hours learning how to do something new and I have two things that maybe bothered me? Outstanding! Outcome: At the end of the second day I was a little concerned that my parking lot success would not translate to riding around on the street. I did end up purchasing a bike and taking it slow by only taking it out when I knew traffic would be dead for the first week. I was pleasantly surprised that everything they taught me on the range absolutely translated to riding success on the street. There is a whole lot more to learn about riding in the safest and best way, but I can comfortably say that if your desire is to use this course to decide if riding a motorcycle is for you this will absolutely fill that need. If your desire is to take this course because you want to skip the DMV practical test and you already know that riding a motorcycle is for you I can also comfortably say that you'll learn a lot of great habits and feel better about riding afterwards. For those of you who are on the fence because you aren't certain you want other people witnessing you figure out something new and uncomfortable: everyone there is doing the same thing and is so worried about themselves they don't have time to look at you. It will be fine. Do it.

Highly recommended to come here if you want to actually know how to ride your bike as a new rider! The instructors are wonderful, caring people who really drill the important stuff into you, encourage you to feel comfortable and help you transition into this mechanically complex experience. They were able to get me in on real short notice and allow others to come to class and wait as a standby in case of any no-shows (no-shows DO happen so come by!) Thank you Ted and Kip! I'll be safe out there!

For this U Ride program, you will need shoes that cover your ankles, long sleeve shirt, and jeans. Motorcycles, helmets, and gloves are provided but it is recommended you bring your own as they may not fit. Keep in mind that if you drop the motorycles 3 times, you get sent home and can come back a different day.

You can test at the school, when you pass you take your paperwork to DMV and your all set.

I wanted to know if I can complete this on one day. Since I work Tuesday to Saturday and I’m off Sunday’s and Monday’s. Can I complete the course on Monday’s only? Since I can not make it any other day.

The beginning course is two days(rules set by the California motorcycle safety program) there is a one day premier course designed for if you already proficient on a motorcycle and want to get your license. It is not offered at all sites.

Hey I wanna join the training school what will be the cost and what all stuff I need to enroll it how long is the course and how about the license procedure goes?

It's $350 for the course, choose the schedule that work best for you. Call them up, youll need a D.L/ID, computer for the zoom meeting. Long sleeve shirt or riding jacket, jeans or thick pants that cover your ankle, boots that goes over the ankle for the riding class. Class is 16 hours split into 3-4 days depending what schedule you choose. And for the license procedure is that once you pass your course youll get a DL389 certificate through mail and that will waive the riding test from the dmv. Youll still have to go to dmv and pass the written test.

Are the classes only Monday through Friday what are the hours of the classes?

So after passing the course do I just take the certificate to the dmv and I get my license? Or do I still have to still take the written at the dmv?

Courtney Scott | Sep 11, 2020

I took the written like 6 times and failed. I figured I could just take the class and go from there. I was trying to avoid the written at the dmv by taking it at the class.

Hello, My question is, when finish the course. I need to do skills test and written test at school or I have to go to DMV to take written test to get a license..?? Thanks

Thanh Nguyen | Sep 11, 2020

There is a skills test (on bike) at the end of the course. If you pass, it waives the requirement for a skills test at the dmv. You do still have to take the written test at the dmv.

Are you able to teach a guy with one hand there how to ride

Charles Lopez | Sep 12, 2019
Kayla Ellie Jones | Sep 12, 2019

If you have a prosthetic, MAYBE but stopping involves both hands because you have to pull in your clutch and front brake at the same time. You can definitely try but it'll probably be nearly impossible.
