Requires you to add 2ed person on unit. Was told they do not rent to only 1 person, must put a 2ed person on renal agreement for unit. When I asked "so you do not rent to single mom's " he told me he didn't "feel comfortable renting to" me. He then told me the 2ed person was "in case of an emergency". Well emergency contact isn't the sane as adding a person on your unit. They are forcing you to give access to your stuff to a 2ed person, in order to rent from them. That means if that 2ed person steals your stuff....it is on you. I have rented storage units throughout this country and in the High Desert and this was the first facility that required 2 persons on the rental agreement. Everyone requires an emergency contact....emergency contacts do not have unit access except in emergency situations when you are unavailable, but usually they are just people they call in the event their is an issue and have them contact you when the means you gave them failed. It seems more likely they want a 2ed person so they can access unit and steal things and be able to point to a 2ed person. When I asked if they had indoor units, his answer was "why". As if he was trying to know what I was storing. Not yes or no. That should have been my first clue they are shady.
