We were stuck in the Ventura area for a day waiting to be loaded. Found this wonderful little place on line. It is nestled and the roads end on the beach. Every room is a beach view. The exterior is well kept and the management really makes you welcome. There is a variety of restaurants within a block. We were most pleased with our choice. The manager indicated they are the lowest priced hotel on the Beach and he was correct.

If you want new & modern this is not the place for you. If you are okay with vintage & scruffy then give it a try. This was my parents getaway spot in the 1970’s and not much has changed since then, lol. My husband & I stayed here at the end of April. The oceanfront views are amazing, gorgeous, fantastic, extraordinary!!! This is what the Inn is all about. We slept with the sliding glass door cracked open every night and enjoyed the ocean air and crashing waves. Every balcony has two chairs and a table which we used daily to take in the view. The fireplace in the room was fun and puts out a lot of heat if you need to take the chill off. There is free parking on-site which is awesome. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Our room was clean. Beach towels are not provided so bring your own. The beach in front of the Inn is really nice so bring your chairs, umbrella, and toys. Nice location with nearby amenities and freeway access. We would stay here again.

I, hands down, without a doubt, 100% do NOT recommend Inn on the Beach Hotel. We had high hopes for this place as it's located on the beach but were very disappointed. ROOMS: Our room was outdated and dirty. The fire sprinklers are covered in about half an inch of dust and there was a fire alarm dangling from the ceiling with loose wires. The toilet seat had scuff marks on it and the sink had no plug, just a bottle cap stuck in the drain. The room had 2 televisions, both of which had loose wires/cords dangling underneath and the picture quality wasn't great. VIEW FROM ROOM/PATIO: We were extremely disappointed as we couldn't enjoy the view of the ocean from our hotel room. We were on the first floor and there was a huge mountain of sand in front of our patio. Additionally, on the first floor, all the patios are connected so there is no separation/privacy. Our neighbor was smoking cigarettes like a chimney, so we couldn't keep our patio door open. The hotel claims smoking is prohibited, but they don't enforce the rule. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The gentleman at the front desk was too busy playing video games on the hotel computer to provide good customer service. We tried to check in early and were told to come back later. When we did, there were no longer any rooms available on the second or third floor. When I tried to speak with the gentleman at the front desk, I had to wait until he paused his video games on multiple devices. He was then sarcastic and rude and did nothing to address the issue that our room was dirty and there was no view of the beach. INTERNET: The internet worked sparingly. Do not rely on it if you need it for work.

Beautiful location right on the beach. The decor of the rooms is vintage, but the proximity to the water makes up for it. Nice, friendly staff. I've stayed there several times, never a disappointment.
