Went in a few weeks ago to get fish for my son's 1.6 gal tank in his room and the man told us we could fit up to 3 tetras in a tank that size so we bought 3 ember tetras and they're doing great. Went back today with my son to get 2 neon tetras for the same size tank in another room. The young lady was playing with birds so it took us a while to even find someone to help us. Then she said the tank was too small and she refused to sell us any fish. I was trying to do a nice thing for my kids based on information from the prior salesman and this lady changed the narrative. I calmly asked "so I can't buy 2 fish today?" and she flatly said "no" without any apology or understanding. I'm sure she's probably correct; in an ideal world 2 tetras would have a bigger tank for a ton of good reasons. But the change of policy and the unapologetic, lack of empathy for my son standing next to me, was just rude. I've never written a review for a business but this experience was lame and we wont be back.

There's a pet adoption weekend event. The next one is October 5th and 6th.
They're kept in a terrarium environment for you to see... they have a return policy for live animals that I don't remember what the criteria is... most employees I run into our friendly knowledgeable and helpful...
I know what worked for a friend of mine who had similar issue. They took favorite toy and balls playing on their walkway and grass then each time inching more to the sidewalk even throwing ball toward house. he got good with ball and they would roll hard enough it rolled out into the court they live in. Took a bit the inching with ball and toy really helped. Then they could leash him and go for walks. I know when they tried forcing him in the begining made it worse. Petco and Petsmart both have classes ask if they have specials Coming they good telling you. Also get both of their new puppy books. Lots of coupons tips and usually classes in there. Good ~Luck
