Best place for fruits, veggies, baked goods and snacks. Grab a bite at one of many meal joints while you are there. The homemade root beer is a must try. The fresh hot caramel popcorn is something I look forward to. For the soft pretzel person there are no shortage of them to try and find your favorite.

I got a chicken cheese steak from inside the building where you can dine and eat. It was so amazing the staff were the friendliest around. Over pretty clean and lots of goodies to buy at fair prices. A suggestion is signs maybe for parking lot areas and side ways because you can get a little lost trying to find someone in the large crowds.

If you haven't been you should go. So much really good food to pick from. The fruit & veggies are lower priced than the grocery stores. Then there are all the home baked goods. Absolutely delicious. Lots to choose from. All sorts of crafts for sale. The outside flea market wasn't open due to rain, which just gives me an excuse to go again. Parkings tough, but not impossible if you don't mind walking & really not that far. I went on a Tuesday, not sure what other days they are open, if any. Check out their web site.

Gotta love this place! A smorgasbord of delicious delights. Great produce and meats. Baked goods. Live animal auction later in the afternoon. Live entertainment. A great day of country experience!
Yes, but they're not enforcing face masks. Seemed at least half or more customer weren't wearing masks. If that's a concern for you, wait awhile longer to go.
Yes, every Tuesday. If it rains, the outdoor venues, antique and farmers, will not be available, but the indoor market stands will be selling, mostly foods.
One thing you can count on being here in Pennsylvania you can go to an auction on just a pretty near about anyting auctions on a house auctions on chickens auctions on horses auctions on koi fish auctions on vegetables options on Hay auctions on Tobacco and I do believe they have a Sadie Hawkins dance where they will auction off your wife or husband
What is the stand called that has the CBD hand cream?

I'm not sure,by the time my friends and I got there a lot of the stands had already shut down and the few that were open were starting to close to.
So we didn't get to see much.
I did see dolls there but, not sure if it's is American Doll specific. Regardless, I suggest meandering through Roots. You'll always find something you want or need
Yes, I frequent one in particular that offers many collectible items, booklets, pamphlets, trading cards, pins, trays, pennants, ephemera, and other paraphernalia.
Is produce auctioned off or are the prices set? Can you buy large quantities of fresh strawberries for a good price?

I don't think Produce is auctioned off unless it is later in the day. Yes there is a stand where you can buy them by the flat. Bananas can also be bought by the case.
Do you have a space that I could use for a 1 time yard sale. I was going to get a space at Saturday’s market but now it closed and I’m not sure what to do.

Sorry, that is not our Website. It is Google's site. We have finally been allowed to correct their error with our true hours. Tuesday is Market day around here, 9-8pm and we'd love to see you then.
Farmer's markets aren't just one business. There's probably at least a few vendors who take checks because Amish and other plain folk frequent them. It depends on the vendor, unless you're renting a stall then it depends on the market management
All kinds of PA. Dutch attractions. The Ephrata Cloisters are fascinating to visit in Ephrata. Weaver's Store in Fivepointville is really a huge country department store. A great place for housewares, shoes, boots, outdoor and hunting and camping gear, fabrics and seeing notions, tools. It's the go-to store for the Plain community in northeastern Lancaster County.
I haven't been to the auction in several years but it used to start around 3 in the afternoon but of course you'll wait around until they get to the poinsettias, depending on how much other stuff they have to auction off
And I think each vendor is setting his own hours. I saw a sign at S Clyde Weaver with their Monday hours--it was mostly just morning hours, if I remember right. You can certainly call the market next Tuesday to ask
What time are the auctions for the livestock and produce and where to they take place at what building.this is my first time attending this market. Thanks for so feed back on this.
Need to find out if tax number is needed for outside vendors before I make the trip with my items. I was told that the inside vendors need one, so I wondered if it also applied to the outsiders? Thank you for responding. Thank you, to all that tried to answer my question about vendors. How do I go about getting that license that may be required?
Around 10am isnt to bad. From about 11 am on is busy. Well unless it rains. There are a few great produce stands inside so just because its raining dont let that stop you from going .
Yes, Roots is great for produce and lots of other great food. Hilltop market is close to Roots- just down the road outside of Manheim and is also a good place for fresh produce & meat. My favorite stop at Roots is the pit beef, near the ice cream stand, best beef around. There is also a place in Roots thst has crab cakes, not sure if they are open for the season yet, i know for a fact the pit beef opened the other week.
Thanks to all who answered! I am looking for some of the Bombergers Mince Meat to take back to SC with me. I will be at Roots on Tuesday and keep asking!

I know they have an auction house on site, I would call to ask the process. I believe you take them to auction site, they take your information, and auction the animals during the sale.
