Well the lady that helped us was not even helpful. She was ACCTUALLY unprofessional. Definitely had a chip on her shoulder about something. She didn't even tell us the new number and said "it's in the phone." And didnt even offer a case or screen protector. Never visiting that store again.

I would give no stars if possible! Terrible service. Went to store at 10am., supposed to be open. No one there, waited 15min.. went back home called and ask why they were not open. Response-things happen and I could go to another metro. It is this attitude in America that is failing us. Metro lost my business. Going to Verizon and will gladly pay more.

Short answer: Yes.... Usually. I had started writing out all the variables but erased it because it was just too much info. Basically if you bought it from a legitimate source, haven't caused noticable damage to the device, and are willing to pay for your phone to be replaced and you are ok with possibly having to wait for it to be shipped, then go to the store and they will let you know for sure...so long as you can verify the account 😏
Generally speaking, yes you should have great signal. As with every carrier, you may experience areas that service doesn't work as desired. Coverage also varies depending on the phone you're using. If you are using an unlocked phone, it might not be capable of picking up the full range of frequencies that T-Mobile/Metro uses, therefore you may not get a true representation of the coverage. Also, your signal can be supplemented at home by setting up and using WiFi Calling. My recommendation is to get a Metro branded phone or making sure your current phone is fully capable on their network and taking advantage of their 7 day return policy to try it for yourself. One thing to keep in mind is you must also use less than 1 hour of talk time to qualify for a return/exchange.
I usually call metro pcs customer service and have them activate the new phone. They will charge you a $15 fee (i think) if you take it into the store and have them do it. Over the phone is free. You call from another phone not your new one via 611. It will be done quick assuming you bought a phone that is compatible with tmobile/metro's network. And that it has a sim card.
