Great Support! I designed my own system and installed it myself 6 years ago. All parts were purchased from AM Solar. I installed 12 SP100 panels on my motorhome and the system worked great. I started noticing my batteries we not charging fully while traveling last summer. I store my coach outside in south Texas with lots of sunshine and heat. My batteries were dead an couple of months ago. I started working with Steve Cooper and Mitchell to trouble shoot the issue. Using the standard Voc and Isc test with a voltmeter I found 6 bad panels. I reconfigured the remaining panels to keep my batteries charged while waiting for Am Solar to decide about replacing the panels. The reconfigured panels still would not charge my batteries. I found a solar panel tester from FrogBro on Amazon and talked to Steve Cooper about it. We both ordered one and Steve said they would honor the results from the tester. It turns out that 11 of my 12 panels were bad. There were no questions asked after I shared the data. They honored the warranty, and then some, and provided 12 panels from a different manufacture. The warranty date on the panels started when I received them. A lot of companies would subtract the 6 years I had the SP100s. As I said the support was excellent. The sales support from 6 years ago was also great.

AM Solar - professional, knowledgeable, responsive, courteous, and customer oriented. I had a FANTASTIC experience from start to finish of an incredible solar panel/inverter/controller/lithium battery upgrade to my Airstream 27FB and have nothing but praise for the interactions and the system. My trailer is now begging to boondock! If you are looking for top-notch design advice and installation knowledge, you need to talk to the folks at AM Solar. And if you do end up working with the outstanding install team and are looking to provide a token of esteem, I have it on good authority that the shop manager is a Coors Light enthusiast…. ;-). THANKS AM SOLAR!

If they aren’t labelled, you can use a voltage meter.
You can do that. You will have to drill some holes in the frame to hold the mounts. We also recommend a minimum of six attachment points for a panel of that size. Send us an email if you would like a custom quote.
Dale, Thank you for reaching out. Depending on your location, you will want about 100W of solar panels for every hour per day you want that heater to run. A 2400W solar array on a 12V battery bank would need 180A of charge controller capacity. I would recommend at least 1200Ah of battery capacity and maybe a battery protection system to prevent overly discharging the battery bank. Big picture, I don't think this would be a very cost-effective method for heating a pool. Photovoltaic panels are very different from the type of solar panels that heat swimming pools. If you send us an email info at amsolar dot com, we can get you some numbers.
