Questions & Answers

Do they help with bankruptcy? I was told they do but I can’t find anything online about it. And I need their help bad

The Manhattan KLS Office does NOT handle bankruptcy at this time. KLS can advise you if you call our 800 number and qualify. Our 800 number is 800-723-6953. If you qualify for services we can at least ADVISE you. Our Kansas City Office sometimes handles bankruptcies; the bankruptcy court is in Kansas City. If we cannot help you then we may be able to direct you to someone who can. It is also possible we could help with some other problem.

Does anyone know if they help with chapter 7 bankruptcy

The Manattan KLS Office does not handle bankruptcy. If you want advice you can call our 800 number. 800-723-6953 and if you qualify you will be given free advice. The Manhattan Office does handle bad debt collection if you are sued in civil court; sometimes we can help if the creditor is being unfair or if you are living on a fixed income. I believe our KC Office handles bankruptcy cases.

Child and I live here in Kansas for over 3 years. Mother lives in Pennsylvania. Mother and I have discussed and agreed to certain modification changes. Can we do this through just mediation ? Do to distance between us, mediation would benefit all.

Yes. Mediation is recommended first, and if you can't agree, then it needs to be done by a judge.
