Supposedly license replacement can be done online,, but I couldn't get the DMV app to work. The good news is I got an appointment the next day and was in/out in 35 minutes. Hope this helps.

Since Covid-19 they don't take appointment. You have to be there early first come first serve. Be ready to wait. Go online and fill out all the requirements. That's help.

They're not taking appointments at this time. You will just have to show up. I went there to get the same thing. For a Real ID you must have your birth certificate, social security card, and 2 forms of proof of address. I got there at 6:30 this morning and was done by 9:05 thankfully. Hope this helps.

After October 1st you are required to have a real ID and you cant do that online. You can do the app edlapp.dmv.ca.gov and save the 8 digit code at the end of the app and go as a walk in but get there like 6am (ppl start line up at that time) and you'll be there maybe an hr

Apparently whenever I was just there a couple of weeks ago to renew my license they were saying you need all kinds of proof of identification like your passport, birth certificate, and possibly another document I'm a veteran and they told me I need some type of form for the VA to get my real ID. You probably need to Google it or contact the DMV for more info on it. I had no idea you would so much documentation to get the real ID. I hope this was somewhat helpful at least you know they want a lot of documents. Peace and blessings

Yes but I don't think you really need to replace it, As long as the white/gray sticker is visible and the digits didn't get ruined.if you get stopped the cops could see by running your plates that the vehicle is on a permit.

If you are getting the Real Calif ID, you need bill or invoice from where you live with your current address.

Yes, you can. Bring your code with you, and patience. They work as fast as possible, and are very nice. The waiting line outside is long, once inside the waiting is less 'painful' (you're not under the sun, you have a chair, and the lines move much faster there! Be prepared for a 2- 2 1/2 hours-long wait outside, I would not recommend going past 3pm. Good luck!)

No it's too late they stop accepting appointments at 4 or 3:45... what you need to do is get in the virtual line on the Santa Monica dmv website

After you have accomplished that you'll go back to the dmv website when you're ready to get your ID. Set up an appointment to make the process must faster. Best of luck.

Yes you can renew DL easily online or by going in person. I recommend early morning Tuesday as it's very fast. The line outside is much longer because there's way fewer seats inside. so don't be discouraged if there's a bit of a line. it moves fast once you're inside.

Your going to make a line just like everyone else so I would be there as soon as possible. Everyone gets a code or they dont get helped

They close at 3pm. I just got there, was there for 2 days in a row. Have in mind that it is an insane lane, that sometimes reach all the way to 20th street, the wait line is approximately 5 hours. So, if you get there at 9am be sure that you'll be done at 3pm. If you are there at 7.30 am like I was you'll be done at 12pm. People, are showing up at 5am when I asked. Hopefully that I helped!!

Did you really ask Google maps where your item is from the dmv? That is absolutely not how the internet works.

Can't do it online they have to take a photo and be in person just make sure your their around 6AM because the lines are long and bring a folding chair because you will have to wait 2 hours before they open

I also experienced down time for about 30 min. The woman at the testing area said I should have been grateful it was not down hours. So it can be long outages and unpredictable when would it happen. Sad😥

Call the DMV and speak with an agent. Ask to have them check if they sent it in the mail and when, or have them resend the documents. You may not need to visit the DMV again, but they may have a pick up in person option.

You have to go in to get the real ID. They will not send it to you or renew it from a regular license. I suggest you make an appointment as, in my area, it was a 4 month delay to get an appointment.
