Place is a complete joke, the lady at the front desk can’t even tell me if my files are transferred yet or not because I don’t have an (appointment) didn’t know I needed an appointment to ask a simple question, they don’t even have a phone number to call so you don’t loose your time coming here for nothing, I’ve been waiting over a month without a license or an ID.

I forgot to bring a bill with my name on it so it was an extra $2.00 cash thrown into a random drawer with no receipt offered or given...umm...I would like to see where that is in the North Carolina regulations. Do the employees split that up for what they consider to be a well deserved bonus for putting up with us.

Hands down the worst license agency I've been to and I've moved around between 14 states. These people don't like to work and are kicking people out without appointments during "walk in hours" but allow online booking to fill up beyond 2 months. Most of these appointments don't show up but you cannot take their spot. Additionally, I tried to have my driver's license sent to me in the mail twice now and have not received it but was charged a fee both times without refund. Now to go in and get a copy of my valid driver's license has been near impossible and very time consuming. I will find time to complete my tasks but I can't imagine how many people will break the law and be out of date or expired simply because a trip to this agency is so complicated and demanding.

The ladies working there leave the phone off the hook so that in rings busy to avoid having to answer it.
Try using the number on the side of the building
Pray... pray really, really hard. Or be prepared to stand in line for a week.
All the answers to your questions is here: https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/license-id/nc-real-id/Pages/default.aspx to put it simply, you'll need: One document (with full name) proving identity and date of birth One document (with full name and full Social Security Number) confirming Social Security number Two documents (with current physical address) proving North Carolina residency For non-U.S. citizens, one document (with full name) proving legal presence/lawful status If applicable, one or more documents verifying any name change
If the name and the address are correct, than yes it can.
No you can't I have not been able to find a site that has appointments for the DMV.
you can do this online on the dmv website
Test is free. But license is 40
No a sign test.
Can a copy more than likely be a fake? There's your answer.
No you have to redo everything again permit and then road test, you need 2 type of ID, ss,passport walk-in until 10am and Saturday all day walk-in to noontime for road test you have proof of a car insurance before you thanks for the question and good luck 👍
My son had get his driver's license that day. They did great job getting people in and out quickly.
And
When you receive your renewal notice through mail, you can go to any NCDL office to renew your license (if NC is where you'll be residing)
Social card. Current photo ID. And 2 form of proof of address. Like Electric bill, bank statement addressed to you if I remember correctly
Cause you can trust Google with everything.
You can only put a lien on a vehicle at the time the vehicle is registered/titled & the vehicle is collateral for the money owed or purchase price. You cannot put a lien on a vehicle without the owner's knowledge or for a personal debt.
It depends on what you need but it is best to get there super early
Well, on Saturdays they open at 0800... all the marines are on a 96, it's a nice day out, PCS season and it's Saturday. The employees at the jacksonville DMV are the best in the state... and that's not me saying that, ask the reginal managers in rocky mount. If you go in there with that attitude I promise it's not gonna be a good day. HOWEVER, if you have a good attitude then it will be the best place to be on a Saturday morning.
Depends on what service you’re needing and the number of customers they have at that time.
7am - 11am, first come, first serve. Get there around 645 to be sure you're in and out or make an appt.
They do walk ins on Saturdays in Jacksonville
Yes but they do walk-ins till 7am to 11am
More then 2 years you can't renew and need to start over.
Yes or they will except walk ins from 7am - 11am
I would go to the DMV first thing this morning. Like at 7am so you're the first one in the walk in line to change your license over. The tag place is also 3 mins away from the DMV.
The triangle motel is across the street
You dont have to but their appointments are a month out. They opened at 7am this morning and I was there as I walk in at 715. I got right in and taken care of. So if u get there right when they open it's good but when I walked out to do my driving test at 830, there was line 10 people in the walk in line. Early bird catches the worm so they say!
Yes they are
Because of covid19 they would like for you to do everything online
The Way I got to talk to someone is I called a small office in burgaw they transferred me to the jacksonville office
It says on the door by apartment only. But I think there were people waiting out side just in case. Call before you go.
Go to 201 Wilmington Hwy, Jacksonville, NC 28540. It's a little bit further down the road, I'd go there for that
If you go to the NC dmv website it should help you figure out what you need and let you set an appointment
On the website you put your number then u got your schedule
Have to call and make a appointment with dmv
Biggest thing is money and proof of who you are. It isn't terribly difficult
I was happy with them .they're excellent place.
Never found one. I just went there.
Birth certificate, social security card and, proof of address.
Richard keep an eye out for openings especially when it gets about month or so closer. Cuz they put up new appointment every 15days what I was told before. They fill up quick. But I also think they been letting it slide some due to the pandemic
Please head to the North Carolina DMV website and they will have information about costs, what you can do, and it you can do it online.
You have to make an appointment online
I do not know. Just found out that about the employee testing positive for Coronavirus.
This answer in part will depend on your age. There are some driving school courses you can sign up for. Get your permit first howevet.
Can someone specify which days, DMV do not take walk-ins?
She would have to go physically to show valid ID
Online DMV.com
How high ya flying
You can retake privately with the DMV but, without passing the class you won't get whatever perks come with passing in said class.
No
No you will receive a soft paper copy 1 with your picture the same day then in 2 weeks your permanent copy will be mailed to you.
If you pass the written test and your permit expires before the driving test then u should be fine. It. Always helps to ask ur. Local office they can tell u everything u need to know
Go to the DMV and apply for it. Go to the ncdmv.gov website. There should be up to date information there.
Must have a valid US Passport or US State certified birth certificate not hospital copy, original State certified marriage certificate by state not by church, original Social security card or W2 or 1099 form with full Social security number; and 2 proofs of residence
$40 dollars. Payments accepted cash, credit cards, checks, and debit cards
Yes. First change your name with social security administration then go in with your drivers license, social security card, marriage certificate proof of address and proof of insurance. If you bring your birth certificate and a second proof of address, you can get the federal real I'd as well
2 forms of identifications such as Driver License and original Social security card with matching name (full name completely spelled out on one document), one proof of address, and a printed proof of vehicle insurance with matching name on documents . Also if under 2 years of expiration; no written testing. If expiration over 2 years, you will be required to complete the written test, vision test, sign test and road test
They Will ask if you have taken the test prior (the one on the computer) and if you have, tell them yes. It should be in the system, if youve done it recently. If its been a while, you may have to take them again. As for the road test, it is mostly done on a backroad about a minute down from the DMV.
If it is a duplicate North Carolina ID, any piece of mail or an old ID is plenty
I think you might need something with your name and address on it and tell them that you lost your driver's license. I think it cost $10 or $15 to get a replacement.
No you walk in. Get there early because if you don't you will have a long wait time.
No
There is no added fee for an N.C. REAL ID license or ID card. The cost is the same as a standard driver license or ID card. The cost is the same as a renewal if you get a REAL ID within six months of expiration. If you get it outside the renewal period, the same as a duplicate ($13).
Online
Yes, but it's a very long line. They open at 8am. You will be in a line at 7am if you want to be seen. They close at 12 noon. Saturdays are the busiest, by far.
Yes
$40.00 8 yr license
Just take your old license in there and tell them what your new address is. $13.00 fee.
Yes they are open from 7am till 6pm
2 years
No that comes from somewhere across from the post office.
Yes
Yes you can
North Carolina is a liability state, meaning you have to have vehicle insurance the entire time you hold a NCDL. If you don't own a vehicle, you can purchase a "Non-owners" policy, basically a policy for a person who does not own a vehicle, but is trying to get a license in a liability state. Anyone over the age of 18 is not required to get a Lerners Permit before going for their license, but the insurance company may require it. It all depends on the insurance company you choose to go with.
The number is automated and goes to the Raleigh number. You can make an appointment on that line also, but in this office they stay booked about a month out, FYI.
That is a question for the License Plate Agency.
During our 4 hour wait in the waiting area I heard one of the DMV officers tell the receptionist not to answer the phone anymore. Your tax dollars at work.
Contact the license plate agency office. This is the driver license office.
Yes. Anyone can pay a fee for someone, in any local driver license office.
If its during lunch or end of day they don't have as many at stations.
Usually you receive the new one within 15 days. Anything after that, you should contact the Raleigh number, and they can look and see what happened to it.
Yes, this office is open Saturday's from 8am-12pm. Payments of cash, check, debit, and credit accepted.
It's probably the same as changing from another state, $13
You're not member of the military you have to have the new real ID to get on base now but you have to go to the DMV to get it.. then u can get a base pass.
Usually $40 for 8 years. If it is a CDL, or there are any endorsements, such as motorcycle, then it's more.
Yes. Road tests are conducted from 8am-11am on Saturdays. There are no appointments on Saturdays, walk-ins only.
They should have given u a temp to use with your old one till new one comes in.. Yes should be able to use the temp
About 140 with license plate and taxes... For more info would be best to call or visit website
No
If you have an enhanced license can renew online... If not go in early have proof of residency, old license, social security card, vision and sign test, pay fee, and depending on agent may need a on road test if needed.
Fir both test written and sign maybe 20 if that.. But the wait time to get into back can be 2 hrs plus unless you go early.
Yes
I use my handicap placard from PA in North Carolina.
