Found a nice day to go on the weekend in late April. There were lots of open seats on the train. It was a pretty relaxing ride, you can get up and move around while is moving. Some good views later in the trip.

we were a party of 9. six with handicaps. the staff were very accommodating. they went above and beyond to make this special for my friends. they deserve more than 5 stars. the ride is a beautiful trip down the coast, with a local guide.

We had a great time. My family loves trains - kid is obsessed and my mom ran the office of a rail car restoration and refurb company - so we ride multiple times a year and always have a good time. Plus, fun way to support an awesome …

As stated there is no heat in the train so dress warm! Beautiful views of the bay and ocean. Lots of beautiful green shrubbery that makes you love Oregon and the most friendly family owned train! Took my son for his 5th birthday and they …

Round trip. Very nice ride, cost around 20 dollars per person if memory serves me right. No handicap available as they are not set up for a wheel chair.
Covered has a roof but no glass in the windows, but the historic car is old-timey with regular windows. I would choose a different one for each direction.
I would call and ask.
The Fall Splendor Excursion is a round trip excursion with a single ticket, The 2021 boarding location is Rockaway Beach. The excursion travels along the Nehalem Bay to a point just south a Wheeler then returns without a layover. The excursion is around 90 minutes total and travelers along a section of track that it farther north than our typical summer coastal excursion.
53,6 miles it should take you 1 hour and 12 minutes depending on road conditions
Yes, any dog is welcome as long as it's leashed, well-behaved and sits in the open air car
Not that I could discern! Ten or more discount ☺
While we do our best to accommodate those who need additional support accessing our historic equipment we currently do not have a wheelchair ramp or lift for the train. We can help the best we can but there are stairs required to access.
I dont know about that. But, i just rode on it and it was a lot of fun. Bring a jacket, it gets chilly.
I'm not sure. Definitely give them a call
Agree about an hour and a half.
Yes you can stay on either end as long as its not the last train. I can't recall cost.
Adult tickets are $22, seniors are $20, children ages 3-17 are $18, and children under 3 are free. These prices reflect a round-trip from Garibaldi to Rockaway, which is an hour and a half (30 from Garibaldi to RB, a 30 minute layover, then 30 minute ride back). You can purchase these on board the caboose on the day of your trip, or online but there is an additional booking fee if you choose the online route. Times leaving from Garibaldi are 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm. You can also board and purchase tickets at Rockaway at 11 am, and 1 pm.
I don't believe the train stops at Wheeler, since it only goes to that depot on special occasions. It departs from Garibaldi, has an hour and a half ride to Wheeler, turns around at the loop, then comes back.
No, it just goes from Girabaldi to Rockaway beach and back with a 30 minute layover
I've worked there over 12 years, I very rarely see dogs that are unhappy. Much better than being left in car.
Near the restrooms, sign says overflow parking
The best way to contact OCSR is through their Facebook page, or check their website.
Adults $20 round trip, seniors & children are less.
Yes, $22 round trip
You have to separately book your return trip, it does not cost money for return trip when booking at the same time. Their customer service was great when I called to get help with that.
They are running a spring break special that's really nice, we did it two weeks ago.
It varies. They don't run the train until late Spring. Masks required on whole trip except while eating. A fun ride.
Not sure. We rode the train yesterday and didn't see any pets. I would guess not.
I guess you could give them a call
