This is an awesome place to get "fish knowledge and purchase fish" the staff was incredible.

Love this place. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely kind people. Their prices are reasonable and fair. This is my go to for the vast majority of my fish stuff ❤️❤️❤️

Knowledgeable staff with a huge selection of salt and freshwater fish, plants and driftwood. All the fish we’ve purchased from here are thriving. Our newest fish, Dave, the piranha

Yeah they buy fish on certain days of the week for a third of retail price. There's more info on their Facebook page: Livestock Trade-ins 1/3 Retail Price as Store Credit ONLY · Monday - Friday ONLY for 1/3 the retail price as store credit. Store credit only, NO CASH. Please call first to assure we have space for your fish. NO credit given on weekends. Drop-off for NO credit available any day with permission from manager (please call first).
They have axolotls intermittently. It's not consistently stocked. If memory serves, last time I saw them there they were about $60/each.
Yes. As an employee, we sell many brands and varieties of marine fish food. This includes dry foods, live feeder fish, and frozen options. Come stop by and I'm sure we can fill your fishes dietary needs.
They buy fish for trade ins on certain days of the week for store credit. It's a max of 1/3 the retail price, though. Right now they aren't buying back, but may start again in the future. I would advise calling ahead and asking before going in.
To the question: As an employee, we do have rainbow sharks, red tail sharks, black sharks, bala sharks, and some glo and albino versions. For every one else who answered: we do not have 'true' saltwater sharks, but some species in the freshwater loach family are commonly named shark. This is because the placement and shape of the fins make it look like a mini saltwater shark.
Yes
We did get Bumblebee Gobies in stock last week. We still have some in stock and maybe more tomorrow with our next fish order. We post fish arrivals on our Facebook page each week!
We do have albino and some brown clawed frogs.
Currently we have no Octopus in stock. With covid some items are more difficult to get. Talk to Dan the saltwater manager for special order possibilities.
I've seen them have. Post in there Facebook book page or give them a call.
Not that I'm aware of, this would be a much better question for the owners.
They have very few and some are. They take in fish people can't handle anymore, so some are really big, but there is a place Eagan that is way better that this one in Richfield. It's called I believe Wet World and they have Arrowanas and some pretty impressive specimens and a tone of variety.
Baby Arowanas normally start at $14.99
No, not a food store. This establishment is a pet supply house for people with aquariums and pet fish
No.
Hi Lisa, The people who see these questions are local reviewers, not the store. I'd suggest calling them or trying a forum that specializes in Koi- they will be more helpful in identifying ich or other diseases.
They do not sell Minnesota native species. For those you are better off grabbing a fishing pole or setting out traps. Make sure to check with the DNR about restrictions, though. Any fish in your tank count against your total possession limit.
Not sure if you are aware but you are not contacting World of Fish, you're just asking people general questions, if you want to get a quick answer I would recommend calling the store
Don't even know what it is?
You'd have to ask the store. If it died between the store and your car, hopefully you went right back in to ask instead of asking on Google. If you ran errands after buying the fish, I can't imagine them giving a refund. There is a limited amount of oxygen in those bags, and you should always go straight home with new fish to avoid stressing them, which can make them susceptible to disease, or to keep them from asphyxiating.
I have not seen the more exotic varieties of guppies there. Just your basic varieties with a few uncommon ones here and there.
You most likely need more oxygen in the tank/pond.
Be sure to bring the fish if you can and a water sample. I believe their usual policy is to bring the receipt within 48 hours, the fish if possible, and a water sample. That being said I haven't always been able to check all of those boxes but they've still taken care of me. For neon tetras, you should be good. They're going to be more strict for their expensive fish
That depends on the quality of the fish. They are.not regularly stocked but the show quality ones range from $150 to $250.
I don't remember seeing any when I was there, but I will say that in my experience this is not a common species of fish that most shops probably wouldn't carry. You're more likely to find a species like A. agassizii or A. cacatuoides
Better to go see than to call, they prioritize their attention to people in store, so if they're busy, they won't be answering their phone. I've bought goldfish here and plecos. They have a great variety. Everyone I talked to was knowledgeable and friendly. I'll be back!
