My mother at the age of 86 now we're the victims in this house. Joanne even though my son is in prison then she will not give us any assistance. I think she is evil because my mother and I did nothing wrong. She's judgmental and cruel to Deny us care. Seeking legal, My son will be in prison for at least 15 years. Shame on her and she her job or keep her job. See the numbers dropping? b or caring fo

The team is incredible. So caring and knowledgeable. The support and care they showed during the 4 months of daily visits were extraordinary. I highly recommend them!

I would give zero stars to this service. I just trusted the final days of my mother's life to this service. It was a disaster at every turn. The previous reviewer is correct - their Durable Medical Equipment provider is low quality, bed was from the 70's as were other supplies. Hospice never provided a list of what we may want to have on hand. While I do feel my nurse did what she could, she was extremely green. The medial director was laissez-faire at best. There were obvious times that the nurses were not on same page with the doctor. This hospice does not have contracts with any nursing homes or inpatient hospice houses which you may need even if for short term pain control. When our family needed it, we were left on our own to do all the work. This hospice currently does not have a full-time social worker and is relying on someone who came out of retirement. My mother ended up on an impossible to maintain hourly medication regiment that included 5 different drugs, both oral and suppository. Our "daily medication" update involved pencil schedules written on scratch pads in our own kitchen. We never received electronic updates signed by a physician with updated timetables and schedules. Again, we were on our own to manage this. Nashoba hospice was unable to control the pain of my 109 lb mother and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to go against her wishes and admit her to a hospital for help. We had to use a hospital not in our community due to the contract that Nashoba Nursing said they had. The entire admission process was a nightmare and Nashoba Nursing abandoned our family at the worst possible time. We later found out that they do not have a contract in place with the hospital that we had been sent to which I believe is a violation of the Conditions of Participation for a hospice service. I send this review in hopes of sparing another family from what mine went through. Do you homework, vet the medical director, check online reviews and make sure your hospice has experienced nurses, a doctor that is certified in palliative care and that they can provide proof of executed contracts with both nursing homes, hospice houses and hospitals. These are things you shouldn't have to worry about in your loved ones final days.

One star it too many. Nurse was maybe a year out of school that was sent to care for my family member. When she was reaching her last days, the nurse still only came twice a week. Once a seasoned nurse did come, who proceeded to mix up my mothers medications. They also use a sub par DME provider, who even nurse said the bed they provided from the 70's. The mattress was soft, bendable and about a 1/2 inch thick. Took weeks for them to address and they sent an air mattress which made it worse. FYI, this is the only type of equipment they supply, so be wary. It is heartbreaking to watch your loved one not even be able to be comfortable in her last days after a life of hard work. Mass Department of Health has been informed and I am one of many complaints to them.
