Get a feeling for living when the Duke family started. Great experience.

The tour was excellent, very informative about the Duke family and their role in the tobacco industry.

Highly recommend a visit for some Durham. Duke family, and tobacco industry history
Justin Slaughter
An interesting museum about tobacco, it’s cultivation and industrialization after the Civil War. Some mention was made at end about how it has harmed countless lives and the appropriation of Indians and their symbols. At the end of the day, the harm outweighs the few benefits, but the museum does help point out all those impacted in supply chain by major changes in view towards tobacco.

What do you think? Of course!
I wouldn't bring the pup.
The museum is but the farm is not
Starting at 10:15, each tour goes 15 minutes after the hour (ie 10:15, 11:15, etc) until the last tour at 3:15. Every tour is about a 45 minute walking tour.
Believe they are open each day 9-3 is best guess.
The tour is free. They did not mention a fee, however there is a donation box in the front entrance. Because the docent spent 45 min with just my wife and I on a cool weekday we left a $10 donation. The tour, museum and movie were worth it.
