Being one of the few places for animal services in the area, we gotta be thankful this place exists! I couldn't go inside, because the hours are very limited, so that's why I gave it only 4 stars. Go there and get you a new best friend!

Horrible. I wish i could give zero stars. A person who doesn't care about animals would never call to find out how to properly surrender an animal. Yet, this agency would not provide any Information on the cost or the steps to surrender an animal. I called this shelter on the behalf of my mother who is an incapitated senior who can no longer take care of her cat. My plan was to get the information that my mother requested and then have another relative who lives nearby to deliver the cat and pay the fee when a surrender apppoment was made. I spoke to these people twice and they would not even provide general information unless they were speaking directly to the person who was surrendering. I explained to them the situation about my elderly mother and how my family is trying to assist my mom since she can not longer properly advocate for herself. Neverthless, this agency on two occasions would not provide any information. What kind of agency is this which does not even provided public information on how to surrender an animal properly? It's now no wonder to me why Jersey City may have a stray problem. This agency is the worst and as a non-profit should be ashamed of it's self in not providing public information and accessibility to services that can make a difference in animals' life!

Any new environment changes for pets is going to have some major challenges, which will require patience and love. If 1% of you has doubts, do what I did and wait a full week before you make any changes. We had an unbelievable experience the 1st 24-48 hrs. However, I'm pleased to share that my rescue pet has had made himself at home and slowly stealing my heart. I was a basket case when I had to leave him alone to go to the doctor yesterday. Seems he was cool because he knew I was coming back. I've also picked up a habit of browsing the chewy site. Most importantly learn the breed before you fall for the cuteness. You'll thank yourself for researching before deciding. I'm excited about the opportunity to take care of him very well; with minimal spoiling.

I now have two new members in my family thanks to the good people at LHS. My two dogs are wonderful. More people should consider adopting a dog or cat and save a precious life.. Thanks LHS.

$225 for a puppy, $175 for an adult.
Let's put you down first Ms. "STONE".
I have a dog i can no longer have. She's a pitbull, lil over two years. Great dog to get along with if you need friendly companion, she's there. I just want her with someone who'll keep her the happy pup at heart she is.
Yes you can, call first to set an appointment
I got a all white husky both blue eyes any one interested ?
Yes. You can fill in the fostering application form even online.
If someone is no longer able to provide a safe environment for his or her cat, that person could surrender it to his or her local animal shelter.
How much to neuter a cat?
like 90
$220 for kittens
I have two 4 month old orange kittens, brother and sister. Have to give them away because i am moving. If you are interested, message me
Depends upon the time you go there. I went there at 7:30 AM so I was 4th in line. But as per my experience, they're doing their work very fast so hope you don't have to wait for long there
$225, but they mostly have adult dogs that are $175. I'd recommend visiting to check it out!
No
They take donations and also have a wish list of things they need for the shelter. I believe the list is on the website.
You get their best selection and you will be vetted that you know how to treat animals
Have you tried calling them?
The shelter is open from 8am-5pm and some great sites to find Jake a home would be petfinder, adoptapet and even rover offers adoption advice! I hope Jake finds a great home!
They're open from 8:30am to 4:30pm just call the number attached to the Google page and it should direct you. Closed to the public though so everything is non contact.
All dogs puppies cats and kittens get neutered and spayed before they're put up for adoption
See what cats and kittens are available for adoption fill out the paperwork online because it's no contact adoption you go down you open your car they put the cat in the car you drive away
You don't have to wait until they reopen you can fill out the application online
Oh sorry I thought I put it publicly 😭
The price of adopting a kitten is around 150. This covers the cost of vaccines making sure they are up to date, costs of spay/neuter and for a microchip. Liberty Humane is on PetFinder.com, where you can see all of the adoptable babies looking for a good home.
What does the website say? The information should be there, I'd expect
They don't sell; adoption fees are listed on the website.
Call them first to see if they have room
liberty humane. org Their website has the answer to how to donate.
I havent taken my cat yet for any vaccine but I can provide a picture of their services there...
No sorry
They rarely get rabbits at liberty humane and I don't know what the adoption fee is on a rabbit sorry
They are not open to the public but they are taking donations you have to call first during business hours

Jersey City Animal Hospital on West Side Ave.
All information on our spay/neuter programs can be found at the following link: http://www.libertyhumane.org/spayneuter
I think the adoption costs are approx $125.00. That includes all the shots & to spay/neuter.
They are a shelter not a pet store. They do not sell animals they adopt them out and you pay an adoption fee.
I dont think so, but I'd call to make sure
Their are requirements. Depends on whsst you mesn out of states like as in like ssy France. When i worked in a vets office and a family wanted to go to Frances or Isreal thoses countrty have forms of all they want dog to over go or your pet would be quarantine up to 21 so i wouild check what the regulations are but within the usa of course but i would go see what im getting before i get it
Sea Girt has been adopted but we have so many more cats and kittens available! You can see them at the following link or just stop by after 2pm (T-F) or after 11am (Weekends) for a visit! http://www.libertyhumane.org/cats
I think so
They may be able to help if you call. If you're looking for treatment, I don't think they offer general full service vet services, but they do treat cats surrendered to them who are sick.
Chances are extremely slim of that happening. If you want a particular breed then buy it.
Yes they take dogs. Make an appointment before you go.
Never been there
Give her some pumpkin...
The person with the cat lives in Jersey City. Will they still pick up?
There is a bit of a disconnect when using the terms kill shelter and no-kill shelter. A kill shelter holds animals until they run out of room. Then the animals that are deemed the least adoptable go on a short list and are euthanized to make room for newer intakes. This is very common in city run shelters where they do not have the ability to refuse animals picked up by animal control. This is more a problem of lack of resources and apathy on the public's part towards curbing pet population numbers in humane ways. A no-kill shelter doesn't have the same short list practice. They do not euthanize for space, instead only making that sort of decision for animals that are not able to be rehabilitated, either medically or behaviorally. Animals remain with the shelter until they are adopted if they are able to be made adoptable. Liberty Humane, using the above definitions, is a no-kill shelter. I hope this clears up any confusion.
I think they will take her. You just have to bring her there and sign paperwork stating that you're surrendering the cat.
Call them
It's 16
There are cats and dogs though. If you're looking for a snake try your local PetSmart
They do. They have one for cats as well.
If its a feral they will spay them for free or cheap. I dont know how much for a house cat.
Yes they have certain days
I believe it all comes out of the same cost
Yes they would, they will put a healthy older cat to sleep. If I could i would rescue the animals from there and take them to a no kill shelter
No, but the vet hospital on west side ave does, and a vet in the newport area does.
Those are prescribed by your veterinarian
They have a low cost wellness clinic on wednesdays
No, but there is a low cost wellness clinic on wednesdays.
I am not sure about the free food to give away. However I know that some days a month they do offer free clinic services for pets
I was there about 1 week and a half ago and saw a couple of them
Not that often. If you want babies, they have kittens
