My son was in a bad motorcycle accident and A&A was the company the police dispatched to retrieve the motorcycle. It was late on a Friday on a holiday weekend. I called very soon after to find out when we could pick up the bike and left a message. I didn’t hear back so drove there the next day to see if we could pick it up but it was closed. My son went the morning after Labor Day and was told the bill was over $500 to retrieve the bike that was around 6 miles away from where he wrecked. Having worked in the auto industry in the past and my son who works at a body shop, we thought the tow cost was extremely high. My son said the staff in the front office were very friendly, helpful and thought the price seemed high as well and did see what they could do about the cost. They initially said the owner would take off one day storage. I asked if there was anything more they can do considering it was a holiday weekend and they weren’t open and I wanted to understand why the cost was so high. At this point I asked if I could speak to the owner to see what could be done. The owner said he did not get a message and when I said we went there on Saturday he said they were there until 1:00. I explained that I could come there to show him my call log to show him I called and said I noticed he had security cameras and that if he checked them he would see we were there at around 12:00. After that he did agree to take two days of the storage fees. Before I had a chance to say anything he became angry and combative saying he thought I was beating him up on the price and so wasn’t my son and that my son was calling him while I was talking to him, which he wasn’t. I then tried to explain that I wasn’t trying to beat him up but wanted to make sure he understood we weren’t going through insurance because of the age of the bike to see if that made a diff on the cost. I was respectful of the fact that they should be compensated for there work but the owner became disrespectful, rude and accused my son of repeatedly calling him when he didn’t. All that said I thank the staff for the empathy they showed my son and the kind associate who helped push the bike onto the trailer but the low rating is for the owners poor customer service and price gouging.

It's not recommended to buy the part yourself and have a shop put it on. If you're going to go through a shop, let them get the parts. A mechanic generally won't offer any kind of warranty on parts brought in. As far as price goes. You will have to talk to Jon at A&A.
