The is just marketing speak, my rate went up also. Basically what happens is as inventory ( available rental units of a certain size ) dwindles storage facilities begin moving the rates up until consumers push back and move out. Your best bet is shop around in the same area for comparable size units for less, or ask the same facility if they have any specials on another size. You can use the move to get rid of some items you may not need anymore. Or get a new unit in someone else name. Sometimes you can get a larger or same size unit in the same facility for less money. All the above I've done before.
