Google Maps has it wrong! It says dog park entrance is on 436, but the entrance to Downey Park is off of Downey Rd. (Cross street Dean Rd). The dog park section of Downey park IS right near 436, but the entrance is Downey!

Big small dog area. My dog loved running here but there is mostly sand and leaves on the ground. Not a lot of sitting area and no water in small dog area. However, I did hear there was water in the big dog area. Overall, there are nicer parks with more amenities.

Great park for small and big dogs, lots of shades areas, bbq areas, super clean bathrooms, they even have a water park for the little ones, amazing park to come with family and friends and have your doggy best friend with you

I believe the park have a reservation policy for parties on some tables with rooftop. They have a sign with phone numbers to call them.
There is actually a nice gated area in the back of the big dog area that you can close off here
