I love this little hidden spot. Directly across the camp site is an entrance to the lake, where you can see small schools of fish, shoe horse crabs, crabs and so many different species of birds. The campground offers clean drinkable water, bathrooms and a dumpster for your trash. PLEASE throw your trash nightly inside the bins every night, the racoons will drag your trash into the woods creating flies and mosquitos for the next guest. Park rangers are amazing, they took their time to educate our kids on the different birds and animals. One ranger heard it was our nephew's birthday and came surprise him with some camping goodies including binoculars. Overall, this is a great spot!! I just want to stress the need to say, please respect the animals your trash is their poison!

Just be aware of sand flies!!!! I really enjoyed camping at Sandy Hook and the beach but there were so many flies and they bite. When I came back home, I found more bites on my body and started itchy so much. The park ranger was so nice but.. i donβt wanna go back just because of flies.

There are 20 tent sites spread across four loops. There is NO beach access. Some sites have shelters, others do not. Pay attention when reserving. All sites have a fire pit and picnic table. Sites are walk-in (only about ΒΌ mile) and carts β¦

That is a vague question, the website for camp gateway lists specifics. Check in is 12, check out is 10a.m. no outside wood, 2 tents and 6 people per site. 1car on the lot per site.
No
Should be open.
If you are asking if there are no-fee rent areas....Yes. But...Registration is still required.
Very few parking spaces so not sure. Call the park service. You can park the boat a few hundred yards further north. Tons of parking there.
What marina?
Bay side beach a couple of minutes away. Ocean beaches further. Most people bring bikes. They sell firewood on site when someone IS around, but you can buy small bundles in Seabright. You have to carry your gear in from the small parking lot. Usually crowded all summer!
There tend to be 3 or 4 sites in clusters, so although it isn't always boisterous, it can be a little hectic, evenings are generally quiet enough
As far as I know, they are not allowed at the campsites at all, and although you can park them at the beach parking area, there is no overnight parking at the beach.
