Took a nice tour up the lighthouse. 95 taircase steps plus 9 ladder steps tp find yourself on the top pf the lighthouse. Jane , our tour guide was amazing and answered all of our questions. The view is amazing as well. If you are curious about lighthoises and how they work and what its like to be insde one, then definetly take the tour. It is a free tour that runs about every 30 or so minutes. You can register inside the visitors center in the gift shop.

Yep, there is a small shop with snacks, hot dogs, soda, ice cream etc.
I was there last weekend and it was still closed to the public. The beaches are open and some restroom facilities are limited.
There is no membership,, this is a place to visit that I know of,,
Yes. I saw a lady getting her passport stamped.
Its not deactivated, its automated. It is still a legit navigational fixture.
Take a tour of the old Fort Hancock! So much history on the hook!
Very close to it, yes. Much land has been added by the ocean.
The current Lighthouse Keeper's Quarters, Building 84, was constructed in 1883. A one-story kitchen addition on the west side of the building was completed prior to 1907.
