Bay side beach a couple of minutes away. Ocean beaches further. Most people bring bikes. They sell firewood on site when someone IS around, but you can buy small bundles in Seabright. You have to carry your gear in from the small parking lot. Usually crowded all summer!
Beach is 2 minute walk. Limited parking available They have fire pits so bringing wood shouldn't be a problem. O. Tge way you will pass a food town. They sell wood.
Best to bike from camp to swimming beaches; it's a hike otherwise. Plus, parking for the campground is kind of its own thing during day-use hours. There is a small parking lot for the campground and an overflow lot nearby (other lots require a separate permit); camping gear needs to be carried into each campsite. There are wheelbarrows available, but they're chained up when staff is off duty. Like most places, they dicourage outside wood but sell bundles on site—but only while staff is present. There's plenty of wood available by foraging, but there is poison ivy literally everywhere.
