I went in to buy paint for a custom entry to match our home that is currently under construction. I found the personnel to be super knowledgeable and helpful with paint selections. These days at Big Box stores the knowledge level of the paint department is basic at best. I even questioned the need for primer on our project. But, the lady there patiently explained to me that primer is a preparation on new cement surfaces. It helped us avoid making a big mistake by assuming that primer was not needed. There is a definite difference in going to a store dedicated to one item and service. Going to a big box DIY store may be more convenient but you can't beat the expertise of a specialist store. If you're looking for quality over quantity and you value the finished result then this is the only choice for paint... PERIOD.

That the information that I got was great and I wish I had gone there sooner, because now that I know I should have put a primer one my paneling before painting it would have saved me a lot of time and money. Lowes did not tell me this even though I told them what I was painting.
