Absolutely horrible customer service and parts department. No communication on order after order confirmation. Took almost two weeks to just ship one piece! Sent multiple emails checking on order because they were unable to give me an answer over the phone. Never received one email reply. When calling only about 50% of the time they would actually pick up the phone and when they did I just got directed to voicemails. As for me I constantly deal with multiple vendors in the marine industry daily and this company is in the top three worst to deal with.

$685 for an alternator for a m3-20b and it’s only 11 years old. Everyone on the phone is rude and seem uncaring. The prices for parts are insane and one could say this is “price gouging” How can they justify this price?

I purchased items back in March of 2020. 3 items were back ordered and I was told 2-3 weeks. Pandemic hits and it's understandable they are still back ordered. I check back in May, they say mid - June. Still nothing. They charged me for these items and are not providing the product. This is completely illegal. I just called and left a vm, and emailed them to refund my money that they basically stole. The worst experience I have ever had with any retail company. For anyone looking to buy westerbeke products or need replacement parts. I highly suggest to avoid them all together. If you need parts, good luck.

No customer service at all!! I ordered parts on 12/18/2019. Received confirmation email the next day, said parts would be shipped out within 24 hours. I paid for two day shipping. I have not received my parts yet. Finally talked to them this morning 01/02/2020. Was told they were closed from the 18th of December until the 2nd of January. I should have been informed in my confirmation email that the parts order would not be processed until the 2nd . Knowing that some of my parts were not available and would not start the process until they returned in Jan. I understand they close to retool the shop but there should be some kind of customer service for this world wide operation.

Mr. Bates - Sorry to hear that. It’s possible but unusual unless the impeller was damaged or run dry. It’s also possible the pump housing, impeller cover or cam is worn.
Hi Ms. Luck, Can you let us know the model and serial number of the engine or generator your alternator is installed on?
They are like a late 70's GM car or truck a combination of both but mostly metric on later models
