If I could give 0 stars I would! Friday will be 9 weeks since they had my original copy of my marriage certificate. I have left a number of messages with a supervisor and no one called back. Today the lady said it was probably lost in the mail. Awesome! So now I can’t proceed with my name change and have to cancel the appointments I have lined up to change my name while I wait for another marriage certificate from the state of TN. Avoid this office!

It might be a scam, careful
The security guard told us that the best time to arrive in 8:15 am. They open doors at 9:00 am. We arrived at 8:30, were 8th in line at 9 when they opened and we were done by 9:15 am
You should have filled out your paperwork at the hospital and it should come in the mail in a couple of weeks if I remember correctly if for some reason you didn't fill get the birth certificate and try brining that to social security but honestly I would call the hospital and just ask if you signed the papers
