Busy tone literally every time I call. And they don’t accept walk in appointments. Can somebody please help make sense of this operation?

I had to go to this office today and I have to say the experience, which I was not looking forward to, was just fine. I checked in at 11:10 and was out of the office by 11:45. I didn't have an appointment, took a number and waited about 25 minutes. The woman who helped me was very nice, easy-going and very helpful. Should I need to go to another SSA office I will definitely go to this one.

Great experience today after visiting Worcester Office, a disaster. We were comfortable & treated well. Comfortable seats, updates, bathroom & AC on a hot day! The person who assisted me in The last cubicle (# 6) was so efficient, helpful & polite. Just can’t be more positive! Thank you so much! I am grateful!

This place is tucked away in a shifty looking office building at the top of a winding hill behind a housing estate. Wait time is pretty poor, about an hour wait for a 5 minute talk to let them know I'm now a US citizen. Staff seemed very friendly and polite though. Seating isn't comfortable. You are allowed your phone to read or do things as long as there's no noise. No phone calls or taking pictures. Car park for visitors is a bit of walk as the spots in front the building aren't for visitors.

I have applied for new SSN on 18th April, Can i know when i will receive my SSN Card.
Most times yes. It depends on your service area office. But take a book or magazine in case.
I lost my social security what i need to get new one?
Yes. You must call the as office and make an appointment but it depends when you call whether you have to wait for customer service.
Yes, it's open but they only do express items, so give them a call ahead of time to confirm they can perform your service at their office.
Yes you can. But you need to call and make an appointment. The phone lines have been finicky, so keep trying if you don't get through the first time around
My experience is you have to call the social security phone number first and they will tell you what they need ( copy of everything) and come to them and leave the envelope in the door with the security man. After one week call them again to get an appointment and come with the original paper. Sometimes they will call you back to give you the appointment.
It is almost impossible to reach out to them. If you walk there they will return you back from the door. They will not answer your question and they are not helpful. I would say try to call them 3:30-4:00 pm. Hopefully they will answer the phone during that time.
Natalie, you might not have the correct #..The longest one can wait is 2-3mins..ie the "Framingham branch".A fortnight ago I called...got someone after 3mins...2rd time I called, about 2mins....they were very polite and kind..answered all my questions...within a couple of days my problem was solved..
THEY'RE NOT OPEN.... ON LINE ONLY. Web sure says open...I drove all the way over... No dice...
Go on line to ssa.gov and request a new one
I believe you can
Not sure of the best time. But you check in when you arrive, there is seating while you wait to be called. Bring something to read or do. It took me about 30 minutes.
Call and ask
I'd go back to the ss office. It shouldn't take that long
This is a question to Social Security Administration, not to the public. I believe you can just call them or order a new card over the Internet. I do not believe they would give you a new card in the office, most probably they would collect your data and then mail the card to you
Get a hold of Masshealth and tell them! Have your insurance pay the bill! Simple as that!
You can either go to the office with an appointment (which you will have to make either by their website or by phone) or they will accept walk ins. You will have to wait to be called to a desk-window and then you can explain what you need to explain and they can tell you what you can or will need to do. Then, you may be told to wait until your number or name is called to go to a second desk-window and they will solve your problem there in the back. When you walk in, there is a kiosk. Go to it, put your Social Security Number in or you could just press the button that says you don't know it and then it will give you a number that the first desk will be calling. And don't worry about standing in line. They have plenty of chairs for you to sit while you wait.
Well yoi have to have a bank account and also if it for a small child you have to add child name and then you call the 800 number and let them know your banking information and go from there
Yes but you might be waiting a long time possible on phone for appointment and it might be a long time before you can get this. I hope this has been helpful.
First I think you need to get some kind of info from your past employers. If you are filing for section 8 or dad I. You need to get letters. At this point I would suggest calling or make a visit to see what else you need to move into subsidized housing. Hope this helps.
If you decide to do this you would take a number and there is a possibility of waiting 2 to 3 hours. If you are lucky and go towards the afternoon you might get in an out quickly. I hope this helps.
Really.... It's just a comment. No need to be all ignorant. It's the truth. The picture that popped up did not reflect. This has nothing to do with you personally. Twisted. 😔
You need to either go to your nearest social security office to apply for one or YOU can do it on line. Just fill out the form or you can even call them. I hope this is helpful.
You need to speak with a specialist or call the internal revenue main office and speak to them in reference to the situation. You might have a problem. I hope this is helpful.
Can I collect my widows social security and my own when I retire in 6 yrs
It depends if you can get an appointment or go there when they open even if you have to wait. I hope this was helpful.
