This service is a waste of tax payers money. They never call you back they claim to never get your paper work even when the Attorney Generals office sends it. They talk to you like you don't have an education when not every poor person is uneducated and they don't know what they are doing. If you are not going to do the job that you are set to do then just find another job because my tax dollars I want what my Constitution allows me to have representation because our tax dollars keep you in business and that is what legal aid services were put in place for to help the poor DO BETTER

This place is a scam, If you are in difficulty and you ned help…don't come here they won’t help you, they aren’t people that care about the community but i guess they care about their money and career, even a simple question that could help you can’t be answered, just good to lose your time…and time is money……hire a lawyer….as bad it could be for sure better than those people

I desperately need help ASAP regarding a tenant/landlord issue. Another attorney recommended Legal Aid to me over 3 weeks ago. I have called and left VM's requesting their phone # so I could speak to someone directly. I received a phone call (I missed the call). I called back immediately and had to leave another message. Frustrating...

Food stamps allows us to get fresh vegetables and fruits from local farmers called the store told me they did got there and was told they don't so that was a wasted trip it would be nice if they would update their website if they do not accept SNAP benefits.

I don't think theres much u can do about that, they do infact charge you for court fees o dealt with that as well, you can ask for it to be waived as you're not working
I think they do yes just go get a intake either on the phone but you will have to bring in documents to finish the intake
I recommend calling the Community Legal Aid intake line or scheduling a meeting through their website. Their Springfield office is located downtown in Monarch Place.
