Booked a reservation for a standard SUV, which was accepted. When I arrived they would only give me a compact SUV, and would not let me use an upgrade to one of their nicer large SUVs even though I have several free upgrades as an enterprise plus member. So I ended up spending half a day and money to get to the location only to have to find a way back. Very rude and unprofessional. No offers to help find what I had reserved. They only had smaller and larger and they wanted to charge me an extra $300 per day for the larger SUV. It seems like they intentionally accepted what they did not have in order to get me to pay an extra $300 when they didn't have large enough vehicle to fill my reservation despite accepting it. Edit: After contacting corporate to try to not be stranded after flying across the country, I was told I would be called back later. Approximately 8 hours went by with no call, so I called again. They informed me there would be the correct size vehicle for me at the Logan international airport. Before I left and spent more money, I called ahead and was informed the airport location had no vehicles at all. I've still been unable to get any assistance in getting a vehicle I had reserved, and had the reservation accepted. Edit 2: Still have not received any help 48 hours later. Have not received any call backs. Enterprise clearly is fine with stranding people. Do not waste your time or money with them. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced across any industry.

I’ve used Enterprise forever & this location sure knew how to screw someone’s trip up, matter of fact just in the timeframe we were there 3 others had the same issues as we did. They wanted this huge deposit on top of the cost of the car rental & I did not read about this in the fine print either & would charge you for it in addition to the rental - but it all had to be on only one credit card. We are pretty resourceful & kept coming up with alternatives & they’d come up with more reasons not to help us. We ended up going to Alamo instead - they were absolutely awesome & I had never used Alamo Car Rental until then & I will definitely be using them again. We were supposed to have a compact - we didn’t - they gave us better a black Chevy Malibu 2022, it drove great, plenty of room, our devices worked great & it got excellent gas mileage too! I was thrilled overall & look forward to utilizing their services again in the future!! But not Enterprise!

Great staff at the Chelsea enterprise office. It's a 13 to 15 dollar lyft ride from the airport. Easy lot to access and no big airport lines or issues. Alexis (lex) was extremely nice and took care of all my questions and needs.

Pretty typical experience at enterprise, the car I was given had over 40k miles and was very clearly not maintained well but after asking for a credit, was given more than a reasonable amount off the bill. On a side note, check your receipt and alllllways make sure they do a walk around on the car to ensure you aren’t responsible for random damage. When I walked in the girl suggested I just leave and they would e-mail me a receipt…no thanks. They would have charged me $9 to put “missing” fuel in the vehicle even though I filled it to the exact point I got it.

Not sure if they do. But I flew in to BOS and after seeing all the traffic cluster, ended up getting a ride share. It was $6.00 and much faster.
This is a feature of the Jeeps. It is to help with gas efficiency. You can turn that feature off by finding a button that has an A with a arrow around it. Hope this helps!
